I purchased a Simedit and card reader which does noting that I
could do with any GSM phone that is, add phones numbers, edit SMS messages etc.
I would like to know if there is a sim card reader/writer product,
that can do the following four items:

1. Read a GSM sim card's PIN and/or PUK. In the event
that one forgets his/her PIN and/or lose thier card with the PUK.

2. Deactivate the use PUKs.

3. This there a way to see the GSM SIM's card phone number
for example the SIM card Telephone Number ?

4. Full reset a GSM sim card, to some default PIN value

I will withdraw my question after searching the forum, I found that
This problem was around since April 2001. Until today with the
So-called fast growing technology state of art hipe (publicity). Nothing has change..
If you are interesting for WHYs and Why not it can’t be done see http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=4093
Big bother (corporations) SERVICE PROVIDES needs to make money one way or another, so why not make money on sim cards and technically weak persons.

While we look of ways of unlocking phones to work with other SERVICE PROVIDERS
They are fat and happy making money on sim cards.. Do we have a SERVICE PROVIDERS Nokia, Siemens, Motorola etc. sim calling cards, No baby sim calling cards is a SERVICE PROVIDERS Monopoly (big cash cow).

Sorry for does how lose their puk card and/or forget the pin. Sorry for my customers
The normal person (mom and pop) who only need a phone to make and receive calls and who do not understand concepts of pin/puk etc. And has to pay a big price for blocking their sim card because he or she does not know or understand the technology. We can unblock, reset user code, active, deactivate phone codes, etc. our next frontier is to do the same with sim cards NOT be limit to
3 pin attempts you out, 10 puk attempts your sim card dead.

My correction: By the way the phone number is kept in the network not in the sim card.
