Hi there.
Few days ago I accidently wiped out my contact list. I'm not quite shure how exactly it happened, I suppose it might have happened becouse of some patches... anyway: I have a backup and I can't upload it to MMC, because the folder (Address book) is constantly used. How to do this?

Best regards

No! I'm can asure you - patches don't wipe the adressbook. My adressbook was also killed as I tried to save a number. SL45 told always that it can't load (or initiate??) adressbook. So I put out the MMC from phone and plugged it into the PC card reader. Made a copy of it and opend the folder and I saw that all characters of the filename were written in low cases. So I just renamed it in big cases, copied back to MMC and well it worked :)

I see...
So I need a card reader to put the backup.
Is there no other way?!

Best regards

I wasn't able to access the adressbook via the phone as mine was faulty.
I don't know annother way. Can you access Java? Maybe the midlet of rc-flitzer (copy file???) can help you. If not use PC and card reader

A card reader is cheap nowadays, from 6 Euro upwards.
Other way, hm, can you copy the phonebook via data cable and Siemens Data Exchange?
Maybe the midlet of rc-flitzer (copy file???) can help youIt's not mine, it's written by Chaos. In "copy file" thread a added a download link for it. But upcase/downcase should be no difference at all.

You can follow these instruction to copy your address book files to your MMC without "CardReader":

0. Attach Mobile & Open SIEMENS Data Exchange Software
1. Go to AddressBook Folder From My Computer > Mobile
2. Rename Extentions of Address Book Files (For Example: 5F02.adr [Rename to] 5F02.adr1
3. Copy Your Back Up Files to AddressBook Folder
4. Detach Battry (without turning-off with Red Button)
5. Attach Battry & Turn on the Phone
6. Delete Renamed Files (5F02.adr1 & others)
7.It's DONE!
