View Full Version : 6600 'app. Closed. Main'
Hello people
I have this 6600, that had contact retailer as the initial fault. I tried to format user area, but was not successfull, so i made a full flash and even uploaded new PM.
Now the phone comes on alright, but displays the message 'APP. CLOSED. MAIN'. When i press ok it boots up fine and works for about 30secs then phone reboots and the same error comes up again. I have tried all options from changing flash versions to manual formatting but still get the same error.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem. Thanx..
I have the same message, but i click ok and my 6600 still working fine... I think this happen after i install Psiloc Task Manager...

Hello i need help my MGS POOL GAME is giving me APP.closed MGS error when i try to open --my mobile is Nokia 6600 --- i dunno wats wrong with it -- could u plz help in this regard thnx in advance

Hi if you get error on starting your phone then the problem is startup logo.just reset your startup logo by setting-phone-logo or startup logo just make it defult.
format also the mmc.
maybe what is causing you problems is something installed in mmc
1. format mmc
2. use the * 3 green trick
3. *#7370# or *#7780#
nop this problem 100% hardware ,, if it was like this
no bluetooth
dont flash with griffin
flash only with twister with skip bluetooth only
and please wait when u go to gallary
after flashing .. u can access gallary once

hmm. did u update firmware version?
put same version as before or even an older one.
about dct4 flashing i dont understand very much, honnestly. sorry

hey guys thnx for ur replies --- actually i bough this mobile last week only before that it was working fine but suddenly it started giving App.Closed MGS i doesnot want to format the MMC is there any other option to fix the prob ... im not getting starting prob just when i tried to start the MGS Game its giving me this error

I agree with you, must be hardware problem, do u have solution
i think its some thing with flash ic`s but i did not start with it yet .. im waiting untill i recieve one phone

yes mate .. this problem app closed , please wait while opining gallary , phone too slow ... caused by bad upp .. u need to change phone upp then flash it

I have this problem too.you think this problem will solve with change upp.May this problem caused by damaged flash IC????? :( :(

i already fixed few in this method .. flash ic coz fuelts some times but not this one .

3--->erase falsh memory if not work
4--->full erase phone + flash phone

1-format mmc
2-format the phone by reset code (*#7370# ) or (Press * , 3 , SEND together & power On your Phone )
3-full flash and pmm by ufs3 and format user area -ui factory
4-replace the ram and uim ic
for this problem (please wait while opining gallary ) I changed upp but didn't solve problem.I wantes to change SDRAM IC but now phone dead.

i have the same problem lately. I observe this problem occurs on phone with new CPU version (Version 3.2, i think) and new flash IC from ST Microelectronics. Luckily, it went ok after flashing the phone repeatedly with the latest prodigy update (2.41) with the new SDK release (prodigy plus). Also update my flash to version 3.18. Try it, u might get lucky like me. :D :D
In general, i think it has something to do with the new flash IC..... :confused:

i think u can try to start up ur phone without the mmc card and try it
if it work it might be the mmc the reason
if it is not work it must be hard not soft i think
or try that u flash ur phone with some old virsion like 3.38.0
and try
