Yes you can use normal data cable/docking station to unlock phone. I just used it to unlock Siemens SL45, using Universal Simlock Remover. No problems. The only trick is that you need to have phone off, and only switch on when prompt is given.

Standard data exchange software can be downloaded from Siemens website (eg. http://www.my-siemens.com/sl45i), but not sure you need it :)
