View Full Version : "Card don't send answer to reset" with only my wife's Simcard!!??

hi all
I use simscan2.01 to scan my wife's simcard. But it always tells me "Card don't send answer to reset"!! I pretty think the environment of software and hardware are correct because it works well with my own simcard and another one. The simcard of mine and my wife's looks like the same GEMPLUS and both are the same provider ChinaMobile.
I run simscan on my DELL PC pentium4 1.4G WindowsXP and laptop HP nc6000 Cetrino1.5G windowsXP@COM1 3.57Mhz.The result is same.
I also try CardinAll and SimEmu to read my wife's card and still error.:( They can read my simcard.:）
Can you give me some advice? Thanks!:)
BTW, maybe someone suggests me to run simscan in pure DOS. I format A floppydisk in WindowsXP with DOS_bootable and copy simscan to a:\sim_scan>,copy CWSDPMI.exe to a:\sim_scan>. Reboot my pc with this disk and run a:\>cwsdpmi.exe -p ,then run a:\sim_scan>sim_scan. But it tells me "the program cannot be run in DOS mode". What shall I do ????:(

Her simcard is earlier than mine. I don't think so.:)

slow down the crytal speed of reader.
The crytal speed is 3.57Mhz. It's the slowest of my cardreader.

I have tried Xsim. The result is the same.

Xsim does not work for my home-made reader too.I´m using simscan and all work fine(a few sims does not works too-no response ATR).But now I have Infinity USB Phoenix and Xsim work for this device.Anyway I´m using simscan..

The card still good for dialing ? Because some old Card could made bad by cracking KI.

maybe you can try with simdoctor usb product? i dont think it will work but it may work. usb version uses different atr.

Thanks. It look like that I have to find a USB reader or I will change a new simcard from the operator.
