Gd87 Unlock Help Please

hi all,
have a problem unlocking my GD87, and wondered if anyone can help. i have my cable and installed pana reader 5 and 6 but every time i get to the read part, i get a "time out" message. i have also tried pan_67_87 from www.spunlock.com but i get a connection failed message. i am running windows xp, and wondered if it would work better with 98, or could it be my cable that doesn't work? i really am a dumb blonde female with no technological knowledge so can any replies be for really stupid people.
also what is 'flashing' a phone?what does that do?

Hi pinkkitty

When clicking on read codes on GD87 you need to press the power button on the handset (the phone must be off) If it doesn't read the unlock code you need to downgrade software to version 22 with winmodo then read codes unlock by typing 746 menu menu then enter code then upgrade handset again to v53 v55 etc then do funtion clear with cb2000

Its better if u take this phone to a professional unlocker... flashing or unlocking panasonics is not for "dumb blonde female" as u admit...your phone may become a paperweight instead ;)
