Help With V300

hi there
i was wondering i have a v300 locked how do i bring up the unlock code menu or if there is any?
i do not have any sim cards just bought the phone
would someone please explain how do i enter the code or whatever sorry i am a newb

Hi,

Assuming u hv a T-MOBILE v300, if u put in another carrier's sim card (ex: ATT, CINGULAR), if the phone show "Enter subsidy code:", meaning ur phone is locked.

Now, u will most likely say, "but i dun hv other carrier's simcard", simple...
just ask a friend, co-worker, schoolmate...a stranger ...there bound to be someone
out there.

If u find that ur phone is locked, then u need to either pay someone to unlock
for u, or search for a website that sell motorola unlock code. (ex: ebay)

i put in another sim b4 and it sayd *contact provider* or something errr

hi,

The msg "contact provider" is due to the fact that someone enter too many times,
incorrect unlock code.

Leave the phone on with the simcard for a good 15mins - 1hr+ , the screen will change back to ..."enter code".

Then enter the correct unlock code. In case u r thinking of trying ur luck by enter
random unlock code, dun bother, unlock code consists of 8 digits. (too many
combination)
