lg u8110 - wats wrong with it?

Hi

i have a problem with a LG U8110 i bought from me mate on 3g. when i turn on the fone it works perfectly but about a minute later the reception drops n fails and says only emergency calls allowed.

could someone tell me what the problem is and how it can get fixxed and from where i can get it fixed.
