Its a pointless excercise.

Even unlocked, the email/data/web browsing functions will not work.

Rather than paying 2 x shipping (sending/receiving) plus $100 to BongoWireless, it would make more sense to setup some kind of exchange website where people say what Blackberry they have and what Blackberry they want.

E.g: Blackberry 7290 T-Mobile UK >> Blackberry 7290 Vodafone UK

Better still, buy a proper email device with decent "additional" functions, like Treo 600 or Treo 650.

I agree totally with you. You pae x2 shipping and 100bucks and you do not have all functions to work. better Look for someone to exchange with smthing. I have one locked to 02 uk. I dont mind a good exchange for it. I have had this phone for Months no use.. just useless

Software to unlock is irrelevant since data functions even after unlock rely on subscription to data services to enable push email and browser to work.

Advice: Buy Treo 600 or 650 - no subscription required and device works better too.
