Very interesting problem with Nokia 8890!

I got a Nokia 8890. The person said to me, that there must be a simlock in it. Ok, I thought it will be ne problem for me. Yesterday I got the phone. I entered *#06# at the phone for seeing the imei, but the phone only says: ???????????4!<br />So in this case I thougt a stupid man was flashing the phone in a wrong way. But I was experimenting and flashed a partial that fits witht Dejan FLasher. Now the phone takes the simcard. I thougt, that it will never find network with these IMEI. But it is unbelievable: It finds full network. I even can receive SMS and send SMS, even making Call diverts! But I can not make a call. Today I tried to fix an IMEI, but now the phone gets no network. That´s clear for me. So I flashed in the original Backup and the phone finds the network again.<br />There also is no label with the IMEI under the accu.

So here are some dates:

MCU+PPM Version: 12.07 PPM C<br />IMEI: ?????????????4<br />Security IMEI: 65656565656565<br />The locks are allright: There is no FFFF or EEE in it. The locks have 00000 value.

So I think it must be the original EEprom Area!

Who can help me with that problem?<br />Can a log- file with dejan box bring help???

Hi<br />I meet alot of Nokia fone (3310.3210.3330.8210.8850.8890...) that have this problem but some net work if they not check IMEI number on subcriber so you can make a call.But some net work they check IMEI number so that your fone will have network but can't make a call.for Ex in my country (Viet Nam) that I can use that fone on MobiFone net work (can call and receive) but on VinaFone net work I can't.

This problem have see if you use Dejan flasher to erase all of flash in your fone and use Wintesla to re flash it (use FPS 4) so your fone IMEI at now is ???????????????4-? ....<br />you unlock it.<br />Best Regards

bring your phone to nokia service center so that they can repair it...

Who of you does have a box and could make a dejan log for changing IMEI. This mobile needs an IMEI and then it will work 100%!
