I just recently managed to unlock the phone itself, but it will not let me use the wap as i think it's still locked under at&t. help! i don't know what to do.

Wap is not locked- just reprogram it :)

i looked all over for different configurations to put into my settings, but it seems as though nothing works. my phone needs configurations for:
Homepage
Security
IP Address
Bearer
Login Name
Password
Dial Up Number
Data Call Type
& nothing seems to help. =[
your sp needs to send you over the air wap settings

my service provider is cingular.
the phone was originally an at&t phone, and wouldn't let me use the cingular sim with it as it was programmed only for at&t and is a phone that cingular does not sell. so, i unlocked the phone for use with cingular, but i don't know what to change my settings to so that i can use wap with the phone. =/

Try to inprompt *2767*2787# .. At your own risk, this will reset the phone complete ..

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS ADVICE!!!
You may end up erasing EEPROM data and resetting unlock codes to NEGATIVE numbers! This will result in "Phone Locked Return For Servicing"
YOUR BROWSER IS NOT LOCKED IF IT IS AN AT&T PHONE!!
Only re-enter the settings for your new provider!!
