Shorten .mid files?

Hi. How do I shorten/change the length of .mid ringtones?

I have tried polyphinic wizard, but the outputed file does not have a regular tempo!!!

I wanna know if there is any software to do this. Editing .wav files are easy, any easy way to edit/shorten .mid ringtones?
