I bought a disk of ringtones, games etc from E-bay, I have a data cable that I used to unlock the phone, but can't find the software to upload these to Siemens A55.

Unhappily A55 is not recognized by the softwares with that function (ViSsie, DES,...), for that to be possible firstly you will have to transform him in a C55.

Make a research for the forum that you find the procedure to transform A55 in C55.

I have friends that success copy data to A55 without change it to C55 :

What u need:
- Non-Ori/USB cable
- Java Enabler -> java_activator_by_jordik
- Software Explorer -> Siemens Data Exchange Software v2.2.2

1. A55 has to be JAVA ENABLE :
- switch off your phone.
- run Java enabler.
* Klik OK I Understand
* Klik JAVA ON -> press red button/hang-up (1x ~ klik)
* wait until "Done"
* Switch on your phone.

2. Install Software Explorer.
U can use DES v2.2.2, after installation in my computer/Windows Explorer will be exist 1 more drive named : MOBILE.

3. How to Copy.
- Run Windows Explorer then klik drive MOBILE.
- couple of seconds you will see folder list of your phone Flex-mem.
- Now you can copy paste a file into folder waht you want.
Example: Rintones to Sounds, Logo to pictures.. etc

PS: but I ever heard somewhere, if your A55 using Firmware v18, you dont have to use my method above alias the phone already "unlock" for copy data into the phone using DES.

My A55 won't even light on for a second after trying to upgrade to C55. I plug it in to serial, and Freia and others will not see it when I quickly press power button.

Is it now gone for good?

Unlock for code is not free, the most economical form is with the cable of data and Freia!
