i think you can't repair that phone...if you upload a new flash file of the same version all the 4 locks will be closed.... harish@net-city.com

Hi,

Why don;t you check them with Win Tesla and if the reason for CS is COBBBA paralel failed - try to rewlow or re-ball the chip and repair them.

Hi,

This can be done all most 100%, if the reason of contact service is Cobba Parallel Failed.

Reflow or re-balling will fix the broken conection between MAD2 and Cobba. But sometimes - after water damage - inside layers of the board are distroyed and nothing can fix missing address or data connection.

Sometimes this imei could be because of bad eeprom - so it's better first to check with Tesla, after that to download the eeprom area and make a 'visual check' - and after you sure about the reason, start to repair.

Hi,

The best service equipment/Soft is WinTesla - one problem - you need dongle to run it and to repair eeprom damage - IMEI and SP data - you have to be registered with Nokia and send them a Log file.

You can still use cracked version to check the reason for Contact Service.

And I said it so many times - to all people if you have CS - first check it with Tesla and after that decide what to do !Do not expect after reading adverts that if you have this or that box and CS with pressing the magic button your pnone will be repaired!

We can open 4 locks closed to FFFF-EEEE by using the latest version of the Logger V1.6 and manually calculated file, but only if the IMEI programming data is valid.

So this won't be usefull for overwritten eeproms and fully flashed phones. We have a solution for this but its good only for people with good soldering skills.

Hi,

Only the Default one which is FFFFFFFFFFFFFF (??????????????4) , but I think most Networks won't give you access with it (

Better mail Dejan for proper log

Hi Alex,

I'm very interested with the solution! Say for example, I have 6150 still with original eeprom data, but corrupted IMEI and so 4 locks were closed. Can this be repaired by the solution you mentioned?.....Kindly give me further explanation about the capability and limitations of the said solution..

This was discussed in a topic earlier if I'm wrong. someone said to replace COBBA IC together with flash IC and time crystal. I have the necessary BGA IC skills, but haven't tried it yet. But that might be the solution to SOME CS with COBBA or flash fault. Correct me if I'm wrong Bph&Co. I'm also interested with your solution.

Hi,

The handset security is based on 55 bytes.

- 7 bytes IMEI

- 12 bytes IMEI programming data

- 24 bytes Sim Lock Data

- 12 bytes AuthotiyID

This is the only difference between any 2 different Nokia phones.

We can fix everything exept these 12 bytes - so called IMEI Programming Data.

Locks can be closed by different reasons, not only corrupted IMEI. Usually when the IMEI data is damaged phone switch off or do Hard Reset sometimes.

We implemented a way to check the data in Logger v1.6, the method is based on the fact that if you put a simcard in the phone and if the IMEI data is corrupted DSP routines will be dissabled and any attempt to read RSSI from the phone gives a bad responce. But this need to be tested better before release.

For 6150 ( and old phones with TQFP Cobba) we have a 100% success with repair the eeprom, just mail Daniel.

Best Regards, Alex

Yes that's correct but this is good if you get the phones in pallets and you want to clear them quickly - so out of every 2 phones you make one !

I'm talking about restore the SP data to factory defaults which is Lock 1 closed to 00101 Lock 2,3 Open to 0000 and Lock 4 open to 0000000001 only via Log file.

Repair of the IMEI via Log is also possible but the IMEI will default one - which is FFFFFFFFFFFFFF - this is working imei (phone is operational) but most Network won;t accept such a IMEI. That's why we do not offer this !

If the IMEI is damaged - we can offer you a Cobba
chip and after replace you can flash any MCU,PPM and eeprom in the phone. We can give you Log file for update after that.
We do phones every day and I can understand that this is not the best solution, also finding these chips in good conditon is not that easy, so we won;t advertise that or be able to provide quantity.

Like I said best way is if you can send logs to Nokia or to Dejan and do this only via log.

Best Regards, Alex

Hi Alex,

I repaired several CS problem by tansferring of COBBA chip, Flash data, and Eeprom data on 51/61...This time, I don't need to cannibalized a phone to repair another one, since you can supply the COBBA CHIP.I'll do mail DANIEL...Thanks and Merry X'mas.
