Wait a minute... you say that griffin is alble to unlock the e616v and the "old" e616 even from all h3g comtry like (for me) italy???

I heard that gsmfactory team has a solution to unlock e616 so contact their reseller in ur country may be they help u ;)

You have to do the following: With the G sim card

1- menu
2-settings.....ok
3-network setup.......ok
4-prf. networks............ok
5-Add..........press the 1 button in the left.

Then you get the network add menu.

6-press ok
then you get the location code....find your country code,,and press ok.
then you come back to the network Add function,but with your country location code.
7-go down to the network and chose the company that you want to unlock your phone and press ok,then the net work will be added to the list.
8-get out from all.
9-use unlock method,which is : #4960*code no. #....press the 1 left button.
10- *4960*code no.*code no#....then press 1 left button.
11- turn off the phone and insert the new card ,and do the same unlock method .
12-turn off the phone
13-turn on the phone and I hope that you get your phone unlocked.

I found the "add" entry after click the option button (3 point button) but the entry is unselectable, i think because i've the latest sw release in my nec e616.

any ideas??

After you select the network setup,you click ok,then you get 5 possibilities ,chose no.2(pref.network)then click add. Do you mean here you cannot select anything?

If you mean "add" to add the shortcut on desktop is ok, but if you mean "add" from option of "pref.network" i've 4 choice unselectable (add, sort, replace, delete)

If you have a com cable ,then may be I can find to you unlock program,NOT USB CABLE

In the last post you say that there is a unlock program via com (not usb) cable could you post that i try to buid a com cable?? (i've a usb flash cable schema...)

I try to explay better my trouble:

(DONE) Is the steps that i follow

Now i haw a shortcut on desktop that point to prf. networks.

And so???

The following steps are not clear, infact the only way to add the code is to go in option of prf. network but the menù voice in unsectable.. i don't understand...

If anybody is interested I know a guy in the UK who is going to unlock 3 for me. This is what he told me This software is available to buy only , i will not be unlocking phones yet until the software has been purchased. We are currently working to put it on a clip as it is large software at the moment which means you need to flash the phones to unlock them. the solution will be made available in approx 1 to 2 weeks. .

I've managed to unlock my old E616v with a modified cable and by downgrading the software. Then I sold it on eBay ;-)

If you are near Chester I can try to unlock yours for £5, or want to post it to me then £10 inc return postage. If I can't unlock it then I'll refund the difference minus postage. Do not ask about phones that have already had 3 unsuccessful codes entered, as I can't do them.

I may also be able to unlock E228 & E313's but haven't tried them yet.
