I do not think the pricing policy of 1499 euros is amied at unlockers.
It is aimed at the wholesaler unlocker, who have say 500 + units. It is fair price if you are unlocking in quantity.
if you have only small quantity then you must wait or ask someone who has bought this software.

I purchased software for mainly two USA phones, but have recently been unlocking others. I have made over $6000 in profits! I still get free support/updates after 7 months. Price has ALWAYS been 1499 Euros, and this is GREAT for shops who buy it. Other software sell high only to lower price later and this is BAD for original owners.
If price is too high, this software is NOT for you. This is PRO software. While others complain about price I'm making MORE money. :D :D
then think about making a server unlock by this method. this price does not support the volume that most people get. I get about 4 of that model per month. would take too long to recover costs. Make a server unlock method for the small fish.

Spear dongle not been cracked sucessfuly last 2 years :D
I guess he is only catering to the Big Fish. Some of us just do not have the 1500 cash to pay for the software. we are all running a business to make a profit. Spear must make a profit but we must also make a profit. for the majority of us, paying 1500 would make this investment a loss. the recovery time is too long, for this particular phone. In my business, depends on the customer I have to adjust the price. If a school kid comes in I don't charge the same as a businessman because of the available resources to the individual.
Anywayz, I am confident that this will be cracked by others and sold for a reasonable cost.

to be sincer spear is always having good software but the price is really disappointing to most people in the mobile unlocking business coz i wounder why he sales an unlocker only not full service software for that price what i can say is that he would atleast make a reasonable price so that we can buy sw

The Price is fine in my oppinion.
No, I'm not crzy but here's why:
Spears releasing this soft with the obvious intent for those people who have large quantities of such NEC handsets waiting to be unlocked.
These people will be able and willing to pay the 1500 euro and make it back in no time.
If they don't get some sort of unlock solution then they can't shift the handsets as much as they'll be restricted to 3G.
The other point is that due to the price of the solution and the target market it's in a way an extra protection from the solution being released for free...
You'd have to be extremely odd, rich or have a very big grudge to buy the solution and then crack it and release it.
Box creators such as Furious and Redbox could purchase the solution, hack it and then relese it as theres but that's another story altogether...
The price tag also means the market will not be flooded with people able to unlock these handsets, therefore those who have it can charge pretty much what they want for an unlock (within reason) as again some people will be willing to pay...
Hence:
Spears :D as he gets his £££.
The buyer's :D as he gets to unlock his stock / someone else's and make his £££ back and then some more without worrying about 10 other people down the street undercutting them!
End customers are :) as they have there phone which is also unlocked to 2G networks.

@ tical if you see 4 per month, then make arrangement to unlock with who has NEC dongle,
You make money, dongle owner make money, customer happy. (name of the game my friend)

And everybody wants them unlocked ;)
Also only a retail store....not wholesale....this is simply RETAIL ;)

I am happy to see that all you make big money for very short time :-). This is the true - who like the risk he make the big money very fast. Yes I love this english proverb, and this one: the time is money. Now after you recovered your investment for 1 day work only and already have good profit, you can unlock just for fun or for few cents per phone, :D , nobody can be your competitor anymore :D
