i sent simon my nokia 8850 along with 25 pounds in cash to change all the led's on my phone. he told me that he received it and that i would most likely have it back in about 5 days. 3 days later i recevied the phone back which was sent via 2nd class and poorly packaged so it could have easily been damaged... :rolleyes: the phone arrived exactly how i sent it him and the work had not been done. inside was a note saying sorry im all tied up and cant do the work for quite a few weeks. he kept my 25 pounds! i emailed him letting him know and he said it should have been with the phone and that hell send it out on monday just gone. it didnt arrive the next day or the next or the next. it is now friday and still havent received it, i emailed him and he said he sent it first class and its strange how it hasnt arrived. i emailed him twice yesterday and twice today and he has stopped replying to me. i find it highly unlikely that he even sent me the money....

You must never send cash via the postal service best use cheques or postal orders (preferrably crossed), if your account of events is true then you are entitled to a refund especially as the work was never done. Someone here reading this will have enough contacts to resolve your issue.

i wanted the work done asap so sent him cash over cheque as it takes 7 days to clear. can anyone help me as i really want my money back :(

Have you tried ringing him?
If all else fails, seek advise from your local trading standards office.

I get coked up (or whatever takes your fancy), grab a few mates (like to do it on my own most of the time), and go to the address, mash up the place, take his tv to cover costs etc, and have a go on his wife and daughter
P.S. I'm a skinny fella, but try my method, and it works for everyone
Life too short and your only here once for fools and looser to get involved in your business... so whilst you got the change... go get 'em!

I told you the day after you got your phone back that i sent your £25.00 back, it was an oversight nothing else. The money was sat on my desk as i was putting the phone back in the envelope to you, i just didnt put it in, and saw it there the next day after id received an email from you. At which point i believe i replied promptly to say i sent the money back.

I have not stolen anything from you. The only thing i did was say i could do a job for you which i didnt have time to do and i am sorry for that. Seems Fatz has done a nice job of your phone anyway.

i have nothing to lie about here and i still kept most of your original email messages. you lied about sending it out to me and delayed me for 4 days waiting for the phone and stopped replying to emails after a while. finally when it did arrive the postage date was much later than originally said.

its obvious that Simon Birley isnt going through a good business period with all his angry disgruntled customers.
There is always the law in the uk which tends to frown upon bad traders and allows justice to be served.

Hi guys just a comment from what I have noted since I came in to this business about a year ago and with this thread in mind. The people in this business seem to be the most low life, tight, money loving, bad, totally unethical, cheap, SLY, unhelpful, petty and just BAD people. Of course there are exceptions but from what I have seen these are a very few, the few of the few who probably sustain the whole business in general for everyone else. This is what I have seen since I have been in this business for the last 12 months. Im still new to the gsm and mobile phone business and learning the trade. To be honest from what I have seen up to now I have not been that impressed.

@ fatz there is already a thread on this. The guy says he sent me money but he cannot tell me how much in £uk is supposed to have hit my account. I have not received his payment.
There is nothing else i can do, i believe he has sent the money to the wrong account.
I would welcome the law to intervene in this case because i dont have his money.

well i personally think its time to check back through emails get the date of the transaction
convert euros dollars or whatevber it is to uk pounds and look through your accounts for that period to see what the transaction is.
If your using "SAGE" or similar software to keep your accounts in order it will be easy to trace back.
