Flashing & unlocking e313/e228/e616 important

Guys!

Does anybody have IPLS software for e313/e228/e616. I have found a lot of informations about it in Italian forum:

Those guys know how to flash any NEC and so how to unlock it. I have downloaded that software, with the newest flashes for 313,228 and 616. The problem is that everything is in Italian and I dont speak this language. Those guys from that forum doesnt want to help. Check that link above. There is one my post. I dont want to write everything the same again, so I paste all my post from that forum :)

"I have IPLS software and flashes for e288. I modified my cable but i dont know if its made i the right way. So it looks like that:

1 (black) - GND; 2 - green (rx or tx from USB); 3 - white (rx or tx from USB); 5 and 6 shorted together and connected to red (power supply from USB); 8,9 and 10 shorted together but not connected to anywhere.

When I connect this cable to phone without battery, my handset switches on and screen is yellow (with A: and C:) then I load drivers thus screen becomes blue. Hi, you guys. I am Italian and I am a member of the Italian forumcommunity.net, but I have to disappoint you: the flashing method doesn't seem to work. I mean: everything is correct, but the phone just won't take the flashing! The idea is basically to downgrade the software to the version 07, that can be unlocked with the 4960 code. The problem is that none seems to be able to flash the fw 07 into the phone!!!
Anyway, there is an almost defintive unlocking method based on "fixed dialing". If anyone's interested, just let me know!

By the way, I forgot to say that the software you can find at http://tecnomouse.altervista.org/ is not unlocking software! It's just USB drivers and the Nec firmware (version 07 and 11)! You are supposed to flash the version 07 into your phone and then unlock it with the 4960 code!

Hi Guys,

I dont know how much this is true, but i was doign some reading, and came across one post where a guy said that he managed to unlock a E616v with the ILPS software, without flashing or downgrading the firmware, all he did was he used ILPS and did a full factory reset, and that restored the phone back to the way it was before "3" loaded their own firmware, i dont know how far this is true, as i havent tried it myself, could someone please try it and post the results, thanks.

1. Remove battery (really, it's not a joke) :)
2. Insert cable. PC ask you to install drivers. And phone goes to test-mode (yellow and then blue screen)

yes, well known problem, but not known solution (at least for me). IPLS v1 works fine, but IPLS v2 can't detect phone.
And flash files for v1 and v2 crypred by different methods and can't be used one instead of other.

I have solution how to Flash this phone.
When you install the "IPLS Ver.1.0.1" and copy "IPLSD1_IT_099_05fa1_e616_H1.ifs" to install folder you must edit one file.
Open "IPLSSetting.txt" and change from "START_PORT_NO = 4" to "START_PORT_NO = 12" (or 8) because ports are virtual. Some times there is com8, some times com12.
Or open My computer>System and check info on your NEC MODEM settings and write correct number of COM to "IPLSSetting.txt"
I was change it and now i succesful flash nec e616 v22 (now is v13)

But there is one problem...
I can't made STEP2 in this flashing tool.
I can't read unlock codes by "crazzy nec 3G unlocker"
i don't know why ??

As I said several times before, this is not unlocking software!!! Don't expect to unlock your phone with it! It's just the phone firmware, if you want to upgrade it (or "downgrade" it).
I keep getting PMs from people that want the IPLS to unlock the phone! It won't do it!

Anyway, if you still want to flash the phone, this is the procedure.
Use a modified USB cable (you know how to do it, don't you?).
Connect the cable to the phone and the PC and install the drivers included in the IPLS package. In case, uninstall all the previous drivers you had installed on the PC and re-install eveything. At this point, turn the phone off and remove the battery. The PC should "see" the phone and start the drivers installation again. Let it install the same drivers included in the package. If you did it right, you should see the phone display turn yellow and then blue. If it's green, the drivers were not properly installed.
At this point, check the COM port where you installed the OBEX port. It must be within 4 and 7. If not, change the port or edit the inf file in the IPLS installation directory (after you have installed IPLS).
Now install IPLS (1 if you want to flash the FW 07, 2 if you want to use FW 11 or 20). If you want to be able to unlock the phone afterwards, use FW 07 with IPLS 1.
Start the IPLS program and let it complete the flashing process. Anyway, in 90% cases, it just won't work. If you are so lucky to be able to downgrade your phone's FW to 07, now you can try to temporarily unlock it with the 4960 code. If not, give up!
One last thing: the FW you dowloaded from tecnomouse.altervista.org is for Nec 616. Someone says it should work on Nec 313, too (but it's not been tested). I don't think it's gonna work on 228, though.

Info I just found??? I have been repeating that for months! Nevertheless, there are still people sending me PMs to ask about the "flashing/unlocking" procedure with IPLS, and that think that - since it's in a foreign language (it's Italian, not sanscrit!) - there must be some hidden secrets about it!

Anyway, if you still want to flash the phone, this is the procedure.

No, just use normal internet browser.Not Opera, not Internet speed booster ,Avant browser or something like that. Normal microsoft internet will do fine.

okay guys you first of all need to get the drivers for this model I have d drivers but cant upload it,but if you do in the case of 228 the phone should be on in order to detect the phone on your system,once it detects it it will ask for the drivers 228 has 3 set of drivers 1,variant 1, 2;variant 2, and that for win98se if you are using win98 if not then win2000,`you need to copy variant 1; & 2 into win98 or if use 2000 into 2000,then select browse select location of driver and finish it must recognize it and load it 6 times.if it keeps telling you e313 loaded unistall 228 andc try again,goodluck.
