View Full Version : ngage wont start
my ngage will not start properly
basically i'll start my phone and the ngage will get past the "ngage" splash screen and then the screen will fade to blank and by then the phone has switched itself off.
i think its ether the phones memory is full (i have about 350 messages stored on there) or one of the programs i've put on there is ruining it.
please help my life is on there!

Hey, i'm having a similar problem, i was transferring a video file to my n gage qd via bluetooth, when my phone displayed an error message saying low memory - delete some data. The file continued to transfer until it said memory full. when i went into the menu to delete some files; i.e. tried to access mssages folder, videos folder etc., it said memory full, delete some data, and remained on menu view. So... when i tried to delete data, it told me i couldnt delete data because i need to delete data. vicious circle.
So... i tried what any normal person would do and took the battery out, memory card, sim card, etc., but now when i turn the phone on it comes up with the nokia white background splash screen then this disapears, then returns for a while then the phone turns itself off. rubbish.
Also, when i try turning the phone on when its charging, the splash sreen comes on then a few error messages saying things like SysAp and Device Startup: memory full, not enough memory, then app closed. Its hard to read these messags as there is a memory full box covering the bottom half of the screen, which remains there until i take the battery out. also rubbish.
So please help if you can, even any suggestions would be great, you will be rewarded greatly in heaven!
Thanks in advance
blueteeth, it seem ur phone has full memory on main drive (c:)
all you have to do is re-flash the system files to your phone , search trough this site about how to re-flash.
next time never put app or game or video on c drive, make 2 Mb free minimum on your N gage C drive, you will be save.
or if ur hp still able to dial *#0000# for IMEI Infor
try to restore your Ngage by pressing *#7780#
thanks, Hady
format user area!!!

I have ploughed my way thru this site and many others, and but with no luck! Would you be kind enough to explain how to reflash the device, or format user area?
Thanks in advance
