C62 Repair, downgrade and else.

There are a lot questions about 'how to downgrade' how to repair etc.
I'll try to help now.
So
1. If you have v23 you have two choises upgrade or downgrade, because I dont think there are gdfs for that version. Upgrade is simple, just download from www.siemens-club.ru 26 version flash and upgrade for cust using repair gdfs beta. It's simple. :) (exactly if you have phone with 4 locks and etc.)

2. Downgrade is not so simple, but possible. To do that you have to download from www.signalocentras.lt/file.php repair kit.rar (for lazy people) :) there are files collected from russian pages. There are Flash programmer 2.83 and 2.71, fffs.exe needed to patch 2.83, ClearExitCounter.cus to patch phone, and repair gdfs beta for 26 version. So install 2.83 flash programmer, install fffs.exe. Then open programmer, press phone and you will see new function FLASH FILE. Now you can Flash files independetly. So Phone/flash file/ClearExitCounter.cus. Then install 2.71 and flash your phone with any version you want ex. 20. (2.83 not alows to downgrade in no ways).
Phone be dead after that, than simple upgrade with 26 ver. using repair gdfs. All should be ok. Patched 2.83 wont work on XP or 2000 exept you use USERPORT. Its included in package.

User and Pass for www.signalocentras.lt/file.php is gsm gsm (case sensitive)

Cannot agree with you Lider 1, If phone damages itself (4 locks, IMEI), and it where locked, sometimes after flash it unlocks. But I'm not saying that you have to use this metod for unlocking.

I think that it's not true :) It's a one trick to upgrade older flash version with 2.83 Flash Programmer. ( but a little bit uncomfortable)

You must only rename all filles/folders names to *000* (version) for example HD0503-000-M, HD0503-000-M-001.cus, HD0503-000-001-M.SSW etc. (from HD0503-083-M*).

AND DELETE OTHER FIRMWARES FROM (ACTIVE) DIRECTORY.
IN THE PARENT DIRECTORY MIGHT BE ONLY ONE FLASH DIRECOTRY!!!

Then lunch the program, and you have own firmware at <latest>.

The patch for 2.83 is only file ( FlashProgrammer.ini ) in a program directory with this parametrs:

I test 2.83 on win 2000 with SP4 (in administrator account) and it work fine, without USERPORT.

I tried to downgrade C62 from v26 to 20 or 16, but I was not successful.
Every time after loading lower version my phone was dead, so i had to back to v26.

Could you please advice me how to downgrade from 26?
I follow the instruction, but....

hi all,

i tried the procedure described above, but no success.
Please see what i did (with sim card in and out):
1. loaded repair beta GDFS for v 26 (using patched flash programmer 2.83)
2. loaded clearexitcounter.cus (using patched by fffs.exe flash programmer 2.83)
3. loaded flash v 20 (using flash programmer 2.71 and "ini" file)

after that phone was dead. I tried to read logs, but log was not correct (the same as for version 26)
Interesting is, that when i tried to use flash programmer 2.83 to load again flash for v20 i had an error message saying that i cannot load older version then installed on the phone - seems like version 26 was still in the memory....

To back phone to life i loaded version 26 and phone is working fine (but with simlock)

Please help me with removing this simlock.

I'm alredy try to do Brka's way, but no sucsses. Only deferent from before that now I get a litle clock on SIM lock. Loger read codes but I cant unlock phone with that codes. Imei and other locks are OK. Any idea (exept Grifin Server)?

All of this writen here I checked 100 times long time a go. Any error or mistakes on phone is up to you 100%. Now what is possible to do:

1. Repair bad IMEI on v26 or lower version
2. Repair 4 locks closed on v26 or lower
3. Change lang packs on all version including v28
4. Upgrade any version to v28
5. Unlock all v26 and lower

Not a possible to unlock v28 with this metod. I try to downgrade to lower version, you can't power on phone but you can read log and calculate codes with log decrypter. All codes looks ok, but you can enter it only if you flash phone back to v28 and normaly power on. If you try to enter code, phone will not accept it. You will just loose one try. You can reflash to lower and patch and exitcus.... and what you want, but with this metod not a possible to unlock v28 until we get a patch for v28 or corected log reader and calculator.
Any error during programming or can't start or blablabla ...... is mistakes in cable or wrong instaled software or steps in procedure. I found all information here on forum "How to..." and steps to do good work. Just read posts!

Infirmation writen here in this 32 posts and download links for software you can find 100 times before this thread. If some one, including me, found solution to unlock v28 for FREE it will be postede here. Please don't open again new topic for c62 without good reason.

the targuet folder must be just: C:\Program Files\microcell\Flash Programmer ....but you must put the folder named hd0503-067-m inside of flash programer folder ......and inside of hd0503-067-m folder must be the folders:lang cust and flash ...........and you must put lang file on lang folder..... cust file on cust folder and flash file on flash folder .....ok?

Not enough volt.Increase your volt.May be you are using 5 or 9 volt.Put it at 10-12 volts.I had that same problem.I solved it by increasing the volt from 9 to 10 volts.

Remove the battery of the phone, and put it again.

Using a 9v battery that had a reading of 8v led to this.

Using a 9v battery with 9v reading lead to ... "Block verification failed for block 21, error code:6"

Using a 9v regulated power supply instead, completed the flashing.

How do I close the 4 locks? Because I've only one lock closed and when I flash I never get that lock removed.
