Colin Mcrae is a landmark name when it comes to rally games. In the crowded mobile racing game market, game developers have got to showcase something special in order to grab a slice of the market. Hence, Colin Mcrae Rally 4 (CMR4) was ported as a “go-go” game.

If all I have to base this review on is the presentation of the game, CMR4 will hands down garner a perfect 10 points. I’ve played a lot of mobile games, and this game has got to have the most professionally and tastefully designed user interface I’ve ever encountered. The sounds and graphics are really very good and are commensurate to the reputation of 8 BIT and Synergenix as producers of good looking and great sounding games. Each car is well depicted and the maps that you have to race on are visually stunning.

Unfortunately, while the bells and whistles are there, CMR4 just doesn’t deliver enough gameplay to garner an overall high score. In playing the game you’ll have to unlock a couple of other cars and several more tracks to race on. Aside from being able to unlock cars, you get to customize the car through the easy to navigate user interface. If I was to point out the single fatal flaw of the game, it is the way you control your racing car. “Go – Go” racing games need to have a simple and intuitive control system in order to be enjoyable. It seems that the designers of CMR4 forgot that fact as they were designing this particular port of the game. I was surprised that a game as professionally designed like this does not have any way at all to offer customization of the control system. Playing the game on the N-Gage leaves a lot to be desired, it just doesn’t feel comfortable at all and after a while I do experience some cramps on my fingers. While the control scheme might be awkward, it might be forgivable except for the fact that the racer you control is sometime downright unresponsive. Even though I’ve tweaked my car to focus more on control, the car just doesn’t want to change directions no matter what I try. It just keeps maintaining its direction until I’m forced to crash into something in order to exert control over it again. An unintuitive control scheme and an unresponsive car makes this game a pain to play. If they consider fixing the control system, this could probably be a contender for game of the year. Now it’ll be lucky if it can actually stick out in the crowd of mobile racing games.

For some people CMR4 might be a good game, however every time I play it, I’m reminded of my childhood days when I receive a beautifully wrapped present and find out later that the only thing inside is an ordinary sweater. Nothing really makes CMR4 stand out from the crowd of “go-go” racers except for its name. If you’re a big fan of the series than by all means, go ahead and grab it. However if you’ve never heard of it or you don’t like the series, you’re better off leaving it alone.

Magic Elements is a strange mix of shooting and platform game. When I played it, the memory of old game Raiders occurred in my mind. Remember the cannon hidden under the "bridges" and shooting up on the enemies? Like in this old game for 8-bites computers, your goal is by shooting UP **** your enemy apart.

In this game you don't play with an anonymous cannon but you play for a mighty mage - Zortheus. And as a mighty mage you don't use bullets but lightning's, fireballs and magical fire. Also your opponents are not aliens in UFO's, but ancient evil - an ACID RAIN. In praxis the rain looks like a flashy ball (nice rendered), which is knocking of from the walls and ground and comes to smaller pieces if you hit it. The smaller pieces do not jump that height, so you must move with caution if you want to evade them. From some balls some type of bonus e.g. a magical shield or a another type of magical shoots will fall down after you hit it …

In next levels there will appear walls and bridges. Sometimes you can find a very good hiding place under them and finish so whole levels in a few seconds, sometimes they will make your magician live hard. The acid balls knock off from them and in some moments you just don't know where to run.

The game has 50 levels and each level must be completed within a time limit if you do not want to lose a life. The 50 levels are split onto 5 islands (10 levels for each) with different type of backgrounds. You can return to islands you reached before if you were not killed during the game before you closed it.

Graphic is good and has many little nice details. For example you can see the magic power running after Zorpheus body when he is casting or sparks after hit. The backgrounds are nice though they only differ very less in the 10 levels of the specific island. Sometimes you will catch a slowdown when there is a lot of motion on the screen.

Sound is a bit simple. For users of Nokia series 40 I have bad note. If you let the sounds switched on the game might crush after some time.

Game control is simple and logic. You just need 3 buttons: 2 for moving and one for shooting.

Magic Elements is graphically a good game, which might become a bit boring during the play if you are no fan of such genres. It is not exceptional or above average but still offers some fun. If you want a game for shortening your time during ways to work or school this game can be recommended..

The skulls feature an AI - they follow you wherever you go. To get rid of them you have to kill them, by pushing a stone onto them.

All in all, there are 10 levels which puzzles are ingeniously. Caveman is not a game that ends quickly. It is it's money worth - in every case.

The game has been thoroughly polished and lives up to its name - Soccer Unlimited. I've spent so much time on this game it isn’t even funny! The game features a variety of game modes, some of which were mentioned earlier. There is the 'friendly' mode which allows you to choose a team and pit yourself against another CPU-based team. You can choose from a variety of international countries and each country has its own "power" gauges. You can even customise your player kit according to designs you want like colours and home/away jerseys. You also have the 'cup' mode which puts you in the running for the biggest prize in mobile soccer - the Macrospace Cup!

Also included is a 'practise' mode which does exactly as it says. It teaches you the "art" of passing, tackling without causing a foul as well as running and scoring. A fun little extra the developers have added in is the target mode where you practise kicking and curling the ball towards a designated bulls eye on the pitch for points. You can even upload the points you get in this mode to Macrospace's online highscore table!

The only real problem I had with this game was the awkward controls. There are two types of controls in this game - holding the button down and running or clicking the button rapidly to kick the ball. I had a few problems with the game not recognising my clicks and had to switch the control mode to just holding down the running key. And another thing - this game is brutally hard. Never has England gone down 7-2 to Scotland as far as I can remember. :)

Other than that - this is a fantastic little game for soccer enthusiasts all over the world.

You can tell alot of effort has been put into this game. Street Soccer has been split into two game modes; single matches as well as a cup championship. The teams even come with their own ratings as well as specific soccer kits.

Gameplay is decent enough - grab the ball and run towards your opponent's goal and try to score. As well all know, street soccer is a violent game and this game is no different. Each player has a health bar and enough bad tackles will take him out of the game. You can let the game swing two ways - playing it clean or tackling the snot out of the competition till they have no players left. The choice is yours as to how you want to play the game. Along the way, you may encounter certain powerups that may help you win the game. While this doesnt reflect any realism, it does add an effect of replayability and chance to the game. Game information such as scoreline and time left are displayed prominently on the bottom of the screen but does not distract the player at any time when it comes to playing the game. The graphics look a little plain but come in genre proper style.

However, one thing that I found that restricted me from having fun with this game was the camera angles. When I lost the ball to the opponent and he ran towards my goal, my character would be off screen and it would be really hard to guide him back down to help my goalkeeper out. I'd have to switch to another player to rush to the goalkeeper's aid. While this is the norm for a regular game of soccer, for street soccer where there are fewer players I felt that my team members should have dropped back as soon as the opponent rushed to my goalpost and not remain at their positions. This may be a simple matter of preference for other players though.

All in all, the game is a decent one. It didnt **** my mind but I did have fun from time to time playing it for a couple of minutes at a go.

Games based on cartoons are not my cup of tea. However, in this case, I'll make an exception. Samurai Jack is an action side scroller with everything you need to keep you entertained for hours on end.

The first thing you'll notice when you start the game is the graphics. Macrospace continually seems to outdo itself in the graphics department and this time is no exception. The level of detail is incredible! When you move through the landscape, you'll notice allot of changing scenery. Not only that, but the backgrounds are incredible. when you move upwards, you'll notice valleys or mountains that seem to grow as you get closer as well as shrink when you get farther. Not only that but if you use the bow and arrow in certain situations and you miss your target, you arrow will actually wobble through the air and when it hits the ground, it will actually enter at an angle and stay there ... like a real battlefield.

Fighting is easy. You can use one of three moves. You can use your sword to hack and slash enemies and perform simple combination hits - these result in higher point gains. You can use the bow and arrow if you do find a set and perform one-hit kills. However, your most devastating attack is that of using your 'chi' energy to kill anything on screen. A flash of blue light appears around any on-screen enemies and kills them instantly. Of course, this attack method can only be used sparingly.

There are a few forms of enemies - ninjas, bats and a few others. The whole idea is that as you progress through the levels, the enemies get tougher. but the enemies remain the same except for a change of color to indicate a higher A.I. as well as that of a higher difficulty. what I noticed in later levels was that enemies would surround you and if you hit one of their brethren, they’d either back away or rush in to try and knock you down.

One problem I had with the game was movement. I found myself occasionally stuck between randomly placed pots on the landscape. you are supposed to destroy these for power ups but on occasion, if I was not in direct line of sight of them, I could not destroy them. I found this strange as the screen is already so small and having to coordinate my character directly in front of a pot as well as *****ng off enemies isn’t the easiest thing to do.

Another great feature is submitting your score to an online table to see who the real samurai is. All in all, this game only has the minor movement flaw and it's 15 levels and its continuously changing game strategy make it a fun game for everyone young and old. Even my dad enjoyed playing the game as a way of relaxing.

I highly recommend this game for the great graphics and the fact that it's going to be worth the price you pay for it since its definitely going to take you a while to complete! For those who like(d) to play Golden Axe from the old times Samurai Jack is more than a must have!

Description:
Egypt Quest is an arcade-style puzzle game, with isometric 3D graphics. The scenario is fairly straightforward game; you are a space alien who has landed in ancient Egypt. You need to search the level for fuel cells from you space ship that thieves have hidden around various places. There are 20 levels, 3 different enemies you have to get around - scorpions that move randomly & fast, mummies that move slowly in a predefined path, guardians that react to your moves - to finish your quest. The timer is running, so you need to be quick.

So what is good? The 3D graphics are really good, the game is very responsive to controls, sound is decent. The premise is fairly straight forward, making it a good game for when you have 5 to 10 minutes to spare. The game control is simple, making it a 'easy' game to play, however, as this is a puzzle game, you need to think a bit before you start to move.

So what is bad? Well, the only trouble I encountered was trying to save levels, it seems that I couldn't figure out how to return to the highest level I completed. Personally, I like being able to restart from the highest level completed, that way I don't have to worry about completing levels before my bus stop!

All in all, a nice game, fun to play with good graphics, with a few surprises to find.
