I have F-secure Anti Virus. Download from http://www.f-secure.com or search this forum as it's where I got it from. It scans in Real Time running in the background.

The skull is not coming from anywhere else. As before I install the app I ran virus check and nothing found, as soon as I install app F-secure finds it and quarantines it. Sim works does not work on N6630. I've tried it a few times now and it still finds it. Try installing F-secure yourself and try it. I'm not going to take the risk anyhow.

Yes is normal to work just for 10secs. Must use 3rd party sw. However and as you have 3.42.1, you can´t record sounds, only video.

Yes you can and should upgrade your firmware version, however it requires advance hardware tools, so is better to take it to nokia, or to someone that has Griffin/UFS/etc (hardware).

maby you should dl it again, file contents arent same in those files. first is about 730kb and second is 470kb. then try againb

Hi, if you let it do the live update you get 3 months free anti-virus. When your 3 months are nearly up delete the app and all the system files, re-install again and you will get another 3 months free. It's date related however, I tried to set my phone to a later date but it wouldn't accept it when updating, it obviously knows what the present date is (shame).
Did it find the skull virus on your phone when you tried it out of interest?

Hi, if you let it do the live update you get 3 months free anti-virus. When your 3 months are nearly up delete the app and all the system files, re-install again and you will get another 3 months free. It's date related however, I tried to set my phone to a later date but it wouldn't accept it when updating, it obviously knows what the present date is (shame).
Did it find the skull virus on your phone when you tried it out of interest?
I'm not infected so it couldn't find it. as I said i just installed it to test te app.

Port Royale 2 is a mobile port of the PC game bearing the same name. For a mobile port, I think I actually spent more time playing Port Royale 2 on my N-Gage rather than Port Royale 2 on my desktop computer. Elkware has got a solid game here and they didn’t spare the horses either. The game comes complete with all the bells and whistles you might come to expect from a game of good quality.

Like all Elkware mobile games, Port Royale 2 sports some nifty graphics. I’m not talking about fancy 3D vector graphics, but graphics which denotes taste and a deep appreciation of how a game’s atmosphere can live or die via the proper selection of artwork to grace the game. The play map is well drawn and the colors used are just right for the eyes. In fact the more you play the game, the more you’ll feel like you’re watching an interactive story drawn in the style of 18th century artists. You’ll be glad for the quality of the artwork because you’ll be seeing the same graphics in each and every port that you visit over and over again. The graphics of the combat section is simple in appearance and does a good enough job of conveying all the information you’ll need as you fight some nasty sea battles.

The aural effects are just plain outstanding. You won’t be hearing any fast bleating of Rock & Roll music in the game, instead you’ll be hearing snappy tunes which remind you of the bygone days when people sail the high seas for adventure. The music for lack of a better adjective is very Caribbean. The rest of the sounds in the game is pretty much on par with the quality of the music you’ll be hearing within the game. Aside from the gameplay, the sounds are probably the 2nd best part of the game.

The game interface is very easy to navigate. You won’t find yourself confused with the various options you’ll see in the game. To help you familiarize yourself with the game, Elkware thoughtfully provided a very robust and well documented tutorial. After you breeze through the canned briefings of your 1st mate, you’ll find yourself happily sailing the Caribbean in search of plunder, action and adventure. The one biggest complaint I have about the game, which almost nearly killed the gaming experience for me is that the direction buttons are sometimes difficult to use within the game map. If you experience the same thing I did while playing it on the N-Gage, you’ll be cursing your luck, as you try to properly maneuver the cursor so that you can click on a port within the map. If takes me a lot of time to be able to set let say Gibraltar as my ship’s destination, especially when there are so many other ports in close proximity to it. Another thing I didn’t like about the game is the atrocious loading time. I know J2ME as a gaming platform is slow, but I didn’t expect the initial loading time to be long.

Fortunately for me, Port Royale 2’s gameplay makes everything fine and dandy despite my above complaints. If I have to describe the game in one word, I have to use the word: VERSATILE. Port Royale 2 is a unique blend of adventure gaming, trading simulation and intense tactical action. This game has plenty of elements which should appeal to mobile gamers from all walks of life. The tutorial is excellent done and makes this game easily accessible to players no matter the gaming experience.

The adventure element of the game is a great motivator because it encourages you to keep playing as you attempt to elevate your social standing throughout the area. As captain of your ship, you’ll face decisions on whether to accept missions offered to you in seedy bars or to call on the governors of the various towns. The game even sports a simple town building mechanism which has an effect on the wealth you will accumulate throughout the course of the game. As you sail your ship, you’ll even run into a piece of flotsam every now and then.

The trading system is very stable and logical. Prices aren’t really totally randomized. You’ll have to carefully plan your purchases and the sailing schedule to completely maximize the profits you’ll be raking in via your ship based trade. The amount of commodities to buy and sell are respectable enough for a game of this stature and you won’t feel cramped by the amount of goods you can fiddle with around in the market.

I love the combat segment of the game. It is very tactically-oriented and will sometimes even offer a challenge that will make you sweat. Enemy ships can be as docile as a tamed dog but they can also be ferocious in some of the encounters, bearing their teeth and sinking their claws, erm cannons, into your ship. I really feel the combat section is the main draw for Port Royale 2, and I believe that Elkware can even make a separate game out of it by adding some slight improvements here and there. Still though, this is a very engrossing gameplay aspect to which I didn’t really expect to find in the game. For those of you who would rather skip the sea battles and concentrate more on trading, the game even offers an auto – resolve option to help speed up the ship battles. Still though, only wimps should select this option, because the combat section is definitely the winning element for this game.

Port Royale 2 is an excellent mobile game. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets nominated for game of the year and actually take home the prize. It has a great combination of individual elements which work together every well to deliver a unique and good gaming experience.

actually you can get avantgo for free, just go to the website and follow instructions, it's a free service, and very good with the 6630. basically, you choose whatever websites you would like to have, then your phone downloads them in their entirety together as a "lump sum" download, and you can view them offline. it's excellent with 3G due to the speed. might be costly if you over do it. it's like the headline program, only you get full websites.


secondly, i have arrivalto but i've not tested it, it won't upload though because it's too big.

trivial pursuit, i have downloaded from various places and oooonly ever get the german version if anyone wants that!!??!?!?!?

i also got a version of wayfinder that doesn't require an application key managr key, but you do need an activation code n i'm unsure how to get that. it works very well with a 3G but you only get 5 days trial... if someone has a keygen, let me know!

Yes, try the one posted by Twister, I also had one, not posted because I knew that Twister had posted it already... But if not work, try this one.
Worked for me... Installed to MMC and registered with 00000. Tested it, worked. Restarted the phone and all, and still working ok and registered.

There are two views in the program: Ans. machine & Msg. player. You can switch between them with left and right joystick keys.

Here you can see ans. machine state: turned off, waiting for a call, incoming call, playing greeting message, or recording message.

In this view you can also see your messages brief statistics, the number of unheard messages and an approximate number of messages that can be recorded (calculated as a ratio of free disk space to max. message size)

You can turn on and turn off the answering machine here. When the answering machine is turned on, you can see always-on-top small indicator in the right top most corner of the screen. This indicator will be visible in all apps as well when SmartAnswer is minimized.

Here you can see list of messages. All unheard messages are shown in Bold font. Messages without message file are shown red (e.g. if message file itself was removed with a file explorer outside SmartAnswer).

In this view you can play a message, call the person who has left the message immediately. When message is being played you may change its volume by joystick (left/right).

Note: for storing messages we use AMR sound format. This format is highly compressed and best suits answering machine needs especially taking into consideration the fact that Smartphone is limited in disk space.

You can get detailed message information here by selecting message properties. Here you can see message status (heard, unheard), call date/time, left message duration, whole call duration, name of the caller (if his/her name was found in your contacts), phone number (if determined), and file name where this message is stored now.

There are some more commands in advanced menu: Refresh - refreshes list of messages, delete message, delete all messages and pack messages. When packing all messages without corresponding message file are deleted (they're shown red)

- Greeting message. This is the file played when the answering machine picks up the receiver. You may select your file with built-in file browser, record a message file right here, replay the message. When playing the message you can change the message volume by joystick (left/right)
- Disk for recording incoming messages. For Nokia 7650 it's drive c only.
- 'Pick up after' option. Here you can define time (mm:ss) when answering machine has to pick up the receiver.
- 'Max. length' option. Here you define max. length of the incoming message. After this time answering machine hangs up the receiver automatically.

Having setup finished press Done. To cancel the changes made press Options/Cancel.

Hi Drug_Store, I have a problem with this game on my N6630. After I installed (to memory card) I go to play the game all goes well until it says loading part 1 then an error comes up saying "low on memory, close some applications first" Even though I have plenty of memory (31M left) and no other appications are running. The game then hangs and will not turn off the error until I re-boot the phone again. I've tried turning off the virus software and auto keylock etc, and even uninstalled twice but the same happens. Any Ideas, or does it not support 6630?
