anyone know how to flash the firmware on a samsung E316 AT&T u.s. version? someone changed the password on it and i need to reset it. the optiflash i have dont work.

You can reset the password without flashing, with Agere Attack!
how do you do that? and also, has anyone had problems where the phone goes into roaming when unlocked and used with another service carrier? im unlocking AT&T E316 and using it with Cingular service and i constantly get "R" which im told is roaming. Ive checked other units and still have the same problem on all the units. HELP.

The R for roaming means the AT&T sim is using the Cingular network or the Cingular sim is using the AT&T network. The two networks now offer free cross- network roaming so this is not a problem.
