You canot use serial full stop. How would you power on the phone without the battery inside ?? You must use USB cable schematic as supplied otherwise it will not work, there is no workaround.

It doesn't need a serial cable it needs a modified USB cable. You have to install the USB drivers without the battery inside. YOU CANNOT USE A SERIAL CABLE - GOT IT ?? :eek:

Yeah.. this NEC 3G software working perfect ... no need for the key .. software only works with Win98se not work with WIN XP....
In Win98 don't run the software .... only run the loader and the software, open it self, install the USB dirver for the required models .. and Read the unlocking codes by the software :D

I have 2 phones.First e616 sv00 and it worked ok. and the phone is unlocked.The other e616v sv18 and when i entered the codes it didn't give any messeges but when i insert my sim it still displays "please insert correct usim card" but when i press emergency and try to call and then cancel and when i press menu it displays "unable to perform the operation,please close an application then try again" and now i can get to the menu and edit the options.What amazes me i can receive calls and answer them but i can't make calls because it always displays "please insert correct usim card" when i'm out of the menu.What should i do?

if that is so maybe your cable schema is wrong with the modded cable the phone should power on without battery (e228, e616, e616v all tested and detected) but free soft calculate wrong codes for e616v v22.01 tested working on e228

the usb wire colours should be a standard layout so you can for the usb side.

Hi - there seems to be some confussion with the cable. The drawing I got from this forum shows pin1 at the top left and 10 at the bottom right as shown in Fig1. I used these positions and got the same results as other members who may have done the same vis - Win98 did not detect the phone if no battery was installed - I had to load the drivers with the battery in and the phone switched on (no sim). When I then ran the program I got :-
Initializing... timed out... Finished.
When I checked the cable with a meter (already opened it & checked it visually twice) I found the error. An examination of the connector - with magnifying glass! revealed the problem. The metal of the pin comes through the moulding and then folds back over the adjacent pin. The top left pin is actually pin2 and the bottom right pin9 as shown in Fig2. The connections are made as previously stated - join 4 to 5 and then 8 to 9 to 10. The progs. then work great - many thanks to the providers.
I am not saying that previous drawings are wrong, maybe there are different types of connector. Mine was the original lead supplied with the phone.

8,9,10 just shorted but not grounded to shield wire. hope this helps some posts show cable schema.

it doesnt matter which is pin 10 or pin 1, people have took it from differant sides.

look at the diagram, i used this with a original NEC usb cable, the original was wired differantly, all the pins had to be changed. the only thing that was the same was the usb end.

open the connector and you will see.

One question: shoud the progress bar go to, let`s say, 10-20...100% ??? Because i don`t see it move at all, just conecting,reading, and after disconecting is just a window with imei calculation(and same codes like mobtool or other nec calculators).And those imei-generated codes don`t work :((

I agree......

Those with the original equipment should have a bit more sense than give support to the cracked stuff.....and those who do.... dont go compaining after that the guy down the road is doing unlocks for $3 or something stupid.

Those with original equipment (any equipment) in my opinion that decide to give support to the same cracked stuff for wich they paid money for original and decide play Mr cool and wise guy...dont forget....you are giving others enough rope to hang you ;)

At the end of the day I dont see the people that crackers as such hanging around here giving support for the work they did :rolleyes:

Hi - there seems to be some confussion with the cable. The drawing I got from this forum shows pin1 at the top left and 10 at the bottom right as shown in Fig1. I used these positions and got the same results as other members who may have done the same vis - Win98 did not detect the phone if no battery was installed - I had to load the drivers with the battery in and the phone switched on (no sim). When I then ran the program I got :-
Initializing... timed out... Finished.
When I checked the cable with a meter (already opened it & checked it visually twice) I found the error. An examination of the connector - with magnifying glass! revealed the problem. The metal of the pin comes through the moulding and then folds back over the adjacent pin. The top left pin is actually pin2 and the bottom right pin9 as shown in Fig2. The connections are made as previously stated - join 4 to 5 and then 8 to 9 to 10. The progs. then work great - many thanks to the providers.
I am not saying that previous drawings are wrong, maybe there are different types of connector. Mine was the original lead supplied with the phone.

after entering code, turn phone off and on, check by *#7320#, if phone says network lock off, means your code worked and your phone is unlocked

you need to enter the codes with a 3g sim inserted in the phone, after each code is entered the handset will say sim lock off (or similar) if it doesnt and just blinks it is blocked due to too many attempts

After you installed Correct driver First step is you power on phone 2: connect cable 3:Power off 4: one more time power on you can see on phone the Boot modus and you press READ CODES after a few seconds program says you must reconnect the cable

When you first launched the program, you must have clicked on 1.exe by mistake, or you had the key! file in the installation folder, so it put the reg key into your registry. You have to delete it with regedit and launch the program by clicking loader.exe.

unable to open com port (win error code 31) then it selects com 5 automatically but before there was only com 1 to 4 which comport should i use.even on com 5 it gives the same error i am using cable from crazzy nec .pliz tell me how i can get it to work coz crazzy can not unlock downgraded vrs 17

Anyway here are a couple of tips. If it doesnt say connecting then either the cable is not modded or more likely you have not changed the com port. When you press connect you can change the com port then to whatever it says in the com setting(the menu also says data bits, parity, etc). Mines was 17 as I have 16 other virtual ports so everyones PC will be different. When you disconnect the cable and the codes comes up and you punch it in to the phone the actual code is not displayed on the screen dont worry just carry on, worked for me no problems, on E228. Oh yes one other thing it only requires a key if you try to use the software on XP. NO KEY REQUIRED ON WINDOWS 98(same as Sharp GX15 software!)

I already have Win 98 SE on my computer. I tried NEC Code Reader 1.2. It generated 4 codes. I typed them but nothing happened - I still have a simlock (Network lock on). I read somewhere that this is due to my counter being blocked. I need to reset it so how can I do it else? Or maybe there's an other way to reset phone entirely. What am I doing wrong?

The 24 hours solution is a myth, it does jack schitt !!

As for the other software solution by Spear, if you want to part with 2999 euro, go ahead, its the best software on the market and does even the v22 versions and above

Yes support the free stuff as none of it works anyway . The free so called test keys issued by Spunlock no one has posted anything back to say it works. at the end of the day the only people who are going to be able to earn money with the nec phones is those who bought the original software.

As for the pic i posted this can be downloaded from the forumcommunity website and has been on there for a long time.

Its great fun watching everyone asking for the free keys to run the soft.

As for killing the buisness there is no chance of that the only way you are going to kill the market is by charging 5 pounds for an unlock.

I still say that Spears software is the best and will continue to be the best software around

but who uses it anyway i upgraded ages ago to xp pro as its used by nearly all the softs.

as for unblocking locked phones, resetting blocked counters none of the soft works.

Blocked counters are very high in numbers as most of the people who tried the free (yes theres that word again) free codes to tempo unlock phone lock the counter so when you try to use it you cant.lol

but then again i dont care as i have the original soft which i still swear is the only one to do everything it says. NO BULL S H I T!!!!

Everybody seems to have forgotton that NEC are not stupid they will again change things so you will be stuck with useless bits of soft on your hdd taking up space and using you cpu. Dont forget that by the time the cracked soft is released on the net all the other phones would have been unlocked.

If you think about it no one will offer support for future models and upgrades( that is the most important thing) Phones change daily and new models released every day so by the time the crackers get the soft working its old and has been upgraded.

I tried the downgrade method but when you are busy with a lot of customers using you usb port and waiting 20 mins to do 1 phone is not worth it.

You will have to turn more business away than you realise . If you have loads of money to turn business away then invest it in the real solution.

buy the original soft and you will get it back.

As for cracked soft i dont have any on my pc but i will always try it out. I tried to get test key from Spunlock for his soft but hey he doesnt want to give it to anyone.

But you mustnt forget the code readers soon will be no good as NEC will change things they are very big company.

Direct unlock will be only solution.

Anyone who is a professional unlocker has windows 98. Some software will only work on 98 so it is an essential tool. You have no cracked software at all on your PC, again I find that amazing that you have nothing Free at all on your PC?? Is Spears software coming with a gaurantee for all future NEC'S? If so then yes it is worth buying, but I havent heard that it is. You actaully say yourself NEC will bring out new verison etc and no one will offer support for future versions, so why buy Spear. Yes if you bought it in the beginning when it was the only thing available at €1500 and you charged €30 minimum too unlock a good idea, but not now.

You will find that if you use win 98 for soft if you are proffesional unlocker as you say that all soft released that are proper legal versions are running on xp. if they are not theyare old softs. any new soft and hard works with xp. As for Spears support it cannot be faulted and the direct method has been released for at least one month now . Spear will continue to support his soft as he has done for the past two years, his prices didnt change and his level of support will continue.

As far as if they change there methods again Spear will be straight on it just like this time.

Im still charging the same amount for unlocking 3g phones as i did in the begining ( except on large quantities) so i am still making my money.

But at the end of the day if you say proffesional unlocker then you buy proper versions with support.not cracked ones with no support.

But I do agree that buying the real thing with support is obviously much better for the majority of models. But when a crack comes out of course if it is working well then why not use it? I use UST pro 6 for samsung and havent yet needed to buy any software for Samsung yet. The majority of the phones can be flashed by that or other ways so what would be the point? :p

Well I decided to put my 5 cents in this thread I only use win98se to unlock handsets and I have successfully unlocked NEC 616v with software on win98se with modified cable so If it doesn't work for you too bad

have you tested and got it to work if running win98 as virtual machine inside winxp?

i did try miscrosoft virtual pc 2004, didnt work due usb services..

and i have tryed vmware i think it's called, but then i get error when trying to run the loader, it craches so i can't get rid og the key asking...

i have only been able to run the application on a clean win98 install/computer

it was perfect i sent my nec 616 ver 22 to this people:

Now I havent tested it for the E616V although it apparently works and has worked for me on the E228(98 only). And yes there is a furious (dongle) crack as it goes, which does other NEC's SO use the SEARCH, you see I am being very helpful now!

Oh, yeah, and if you had enough brain to read a few of my posts, instead of barking at the wrong tree or drooling like a rabid dog, you would know that I have a pretty complex problem with my 313 (you even assume I have an E616V)! Where did you find that?
And if you had a little more language capability you would also know that I posted the necfree on the Italian forum where most informations you guys have come from and I helped most people there to get to use it! Moreover, if you were bright enough to read a few more threads on here, you would also know that I helped a few people remove the reg key! they put into their system registry by mistake, running 1.exe instead of loader.exe!
But I guess you're still too busy doing your first grade homework to do all that!
So please stop bothering and do us a favour: get lost!!!
