how to instal nec under win98 :confused:

I didn't install it i just copied the two files in to a directory, ran one of them then when it asked for device drivers i pointed to them and it works, you need to download the drivers i tried to upload them, but the stupid uploader does not like .zip or any other than .rar SORRY :confused:

The USB cable is for 3G NEC - 228 , 313 , 616
This is the drivers for new NEC phones.
When you switch on the phone Windows will ask for usb drivers.
You have drivers for 228, 313, 616 in the zip file.
Every time when you start windows it load the drivers. When you start
the unlocker and connect the phone to the pc you will see a little
delay - the reason is because windows load the drivers.
You have to follow very strictly the instructions of the program. The
program will show you when to connect the cable and when to disconnect
it, when to put the battery and when to remove it, etc...
Test the drivers first before run the software. Follow these steps:
1. Find one 228 one 313 and one 616
2. Connect the phone to the cable - it must be switched on
3. Install the drivers
4. When the installation for all drivers finished:
4.1. Remove the battery
4.2. Connect the phone to USB cable
4.3. The led will shine first then the display as well.
4.4. Few seconds later the display must be blue and to have this text:
A:
C:
blue(color not text)
blue(color not text)
blue(color not text)
.
.
.
blue(color not text)
616v: the test mode display on the e616v appears on the
small outer display and not the inside screen.
5. If you can't see this you must start again with drivers installation.
Without these drivers the program can't work.
If you have not this result(4.4.) you can't use the program

gsminstructor you mean to put drivers in system directory? it is not work
Great!!!! very very great!!! finally it works for me :) i followed gsminstructor steps and now it work, thanks m8 it is really generous from you. but one remark for everybody when u install the drivers successfully u have to uncheck the autodetect option and click read codes, then it shows u the comport where installed the phone drivers, u can check it in ur PC configuration and select the right comport, for me it is COM8. :) :) :) :)

I am waiting for package with my nec e616v and i was wondering if i can unlock for exemple e616v sw 22 with this soft and modified cable. :confused:
Hi gyes help me plz i cant connect e616v i have 4 pakage with drivers but then i connect power on phone driver not detect phone when i connect witout battery pc write nec usb controler detected but no all drivers instaled and no emulation on com port .What i make wrong help plz
i had problem with instaling drivers under 98
i used software for generating codes to a nec e616 ...
at this phone wich furios server canot calculate codes (i use furios server since begening)it is now virus but in order to run software you have to deactivate antivirus software
..i solved driver problem this way..
i instaled drivers on A CLEAN WINDOWS 98

It means that after cable modifycation if you connect usb cable to phone without battery then it will run in service mode. First it will flash with yellow led then it'll glow and after that led turns blue and on external display there are two rows with:
A:
C:
And then your PC should recognize nec xXXX and (for me it was nec e616v) and you are ready to use some software on ports that your PC had installed obex usb port.
