Has anyone managed to change imei on this model yet? if so what software and cable do I need??

Yes i have changed IMEI on D500 with Agere-Attack software.I have changed bluetooth nomber also.

Well.... on D500 phones IMEI nomber & bloetooth nomber are stromg connected(depended each other)If u change IMEI u must set corect bluetooth nomber for new IMEI.If bluetooth nomber & ID,its not correct,phone its freezed, dont recieve network & power off after few seconds.

U can check bluetooth serial nomber with this code: *#232337#
