Is it neccesary to make complete cable pinout with Usb +5V, D+ and D- for flash, unlock or is it enough with GND, Tx and Rx (Maxim)?

The cable colors are:

Keypad up, right to left-
1 <-> 14- +Ubat
2- Usb data
3- Usb +5V
4- Usb data

Keypad up, right to left-
and pinout flash with max 232 is
1 short 14 ( no conect to +5V);8 <-> 11- GND;5 rx;6 tx(or 5 tx;6 rx)
100% ( One pinout for 2 programs !!! )
If hawe flash for hi speed 921600:
cable it seem , only us usb to rs232 conwerter ( Vygis Tool Box, eXtreme USB Box )or other
Flashing time in hi speed 15 min.
For unlock:
Run winimei go to unlock, press UnLock and conect cable. Phone go to TAT Mode and unlock.
Its all to flash and unlock this model. ;)

I made the cable modification myself from a E700 and successfully unlocked a D500 today. I am very happy that I did this, because the customer said that I have sent the phone in many service centers in my country but nobody has managed to unlock their phone. This, makes me more happy than the money that I took for it.

(P.S. For making cable modification I followed the schematic that can be found on www.one-stop-factory.com).

Check my way of making D500 cable, pretty easy, it is just a normal Rx-Tx-GnD cable. The point is in the pinout of the connector!

That cable must be good for samsung D500, but this pinout only for unlock. To be able to flash you need to short pins but I don't know which ones.

Check my previous post, it is not so difficult to make your own cable. You need a connector (any kind of new Samsung ) and a good Tx-Rx cable (like Siemens in my case).

Well, I can't catch your question, but I try to make a flashing schema here:
keys up
1 <--> 14 short Vbat
2 ---- USB data in
3 ---- USB +5V
4 ---- USB data out
5 ---- Rx
6 ---- Tx
8 <--> 11 short GND

It DOES NOT MATTER which of the ground wires is stiched to pin8 because GND from USB and the ground pins of a comport are CONNECTED in the computer mainboard!!! So, that's why is meaningless which one you fix to the cable....

Can anyone draw correct lines between phone, usb port, com port and 9V battery in attachment and reply with correct picture. Cable is needed for flashing. :(

Like almost all of you I don't live in GB but far from it and our local stores don't sell that kind of stuff. So only solution is to solder that cable by myself. Without correct schematic its quite risky to experiment.

:mad: combo cable is ready !! but where is +Ubat or +Vbat connected to?
there is already connected +5v to 3

so +Vbat (1--14) connected to point 3(USB +5v)

Are there any cables for D500 with protection as I've already bought 2 cables for this model and after some timeand for no apparent reason they just won't connecto to phone again...

I dont know mate but i have used my cable about 50 times at least and havent had a problem with it yet. i hope i havent just jinxed myself saying that though ;)

at beginning I have modify USB - E700 cable ... with MAXIM everything ok...unlock+flash
but it's very slow for flash so .. I begin to modify it to work with USB
so...take the cut(USB) and connect it as shown in Diagram...(in this huge topic) and of course prolific driver o.k. and identify CABLE...but i am not sure about
(1--14) not tested yet with combo cause not understand what mean by +Vbat
somebody here say ... it's +5v ....

Hi, i'm french and that topic is very good ;o)
I have made the USB cable very simply with the informations in that forum...it works fine ;o)
BUT
I juste want to know if someone has the scheme of the "data/flash/cable" serial with the 9V battery or a link with informations about it...
i think it's a serial adaptator RX / TX with a MAX232 but i'm not sure...

For Flash use pinout like in pic. Work 100%.
RX, TX and GND conect to uni box, or usb to com simulate cable (C55 work good).
NO NEADE +5V conect to phone, only RX,TX, GND. TESTED 100% work.

it is necessary to have a RS232 coverter/adaptator to plug the [SUBD-9 RX/TX serial PIN on the computer] to [the D500 RX/TX PIN ]

I 've just cut a old PCB093LBE, i take the rights wires connected to the ICL32X7E into the box (RX/TX <-> SUBD9) and i made a mod of the connections to have a good RS232 converter with the D500 pin... ;o)
It works FINE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD !!!!

Corono Downloader find my D500 ;o) on the COM1 port

YOUPPPPPPPPPPPPPI ;o)

OK AjeeB, thank you for your message,
in fact, with my multimeter FLUKE,
(without any short between 1 & 14)

Conclusion:
i can explain that the PIN[1] 'of the D500' and the PIN [14] 'of the D500'
are internaly connected like a "short"...
so (i think)
it's not a pb if PIN[1] are not connected to PIN[14] externally ;o)

INFORMATION:
SERIAL COMMUNICATION TESTED OK (under Corona_Downloader_v3.2)
WITHOUT SHORT PIN[1] and PIN[14] >>> no problem
the program initialisation it's good...
so > it does not matter if 1 and 14 are connected...

I hope it's not a mistake...

why does every1 say u need a serial cable for unlocking and usb for flashing i used my usb cable for both on my d500 works perfect with winimei just remember to change the com port to 1 in windows

p.s i bought my cable from www.phantomgsm.com plus got the winimei from support area and usb cable drivers too saved me time trying to make one lol

I read all posts but nobody could give a simple and clear answer how to make a cable.

Plz, First write us which cable we must change in order to create a flashing cable for D500. eg, is T100 flashing cable good? if not, tell us which cable has maxim IC built in so that we know which cable we could change to make a D500 cable.

Then, we have nothing to do with the phone.. just write us the number of cable pin and color of cable's wire.. how to connect them together.. do we have to use any resistor or not?
