I've tried to flash my U8120 to version V101 but I always get this meesage fro FlashRW Multi:

OK. I solved the problme. I used the wrong loader. Next problem... the port from RS232 isn't changed right. "!!!! Error occurred during port change". Someone have a solution for this. I tried to install the driver from the EPACOMMsetup bu its not possbile

You need to install drivers in flash rw folder, becouse program can't find the flash interface.

Use the drivers FROM flash rw directory.
Its not possible to install this driver...
you have to flash the phone under winXP.
when the software try to switch from UART to USB, the computer will detect USB FLASH DEVICE.
you will need bto instal drivers from EPACOMM (epyusb.........).
after that restart flashing process and all will be ok

i'm using windows xp but my computer is not detecting a USB FLASH DEVICE.
i already tried to just turn on the phone and connect it via USB to the pc but over this way it is not possible to install the driver :(. i suppose something is wrong with my OS.
but maybe i'm doing something wrong. at first i connect the phone with the RS232 to the PC. and after that the error message comes. lets say it would work... when should i disconnect the phone from the RS232 cable und plug the USB cable in?

Which usb cable you use? Not the original usb cable supplied with phone i hope..
No. I ordered the flasher cable set from www.phantomgsm.com
Maybe the cables I ordered are the problem. Is it actually possible to flash the phone with two separate cables? Because I have one RS232-cable und one USB-cable.
let me make it clear:
you have one phone conector, and 2 cables.
on this 1 (one) conector you have 2 solder 2 cables:
1. first goes to rs2323
2. goes to usb
you dont have to plug/unplug any cable, just conect the phone to rs2323 and to usb and start flashing.
after the flasher will ask you to power on the phone, it will say "convert from UART to USB". here will ask for drivers.
after instaling drivers, remove phone batery, restart software and again, start flashing.

I`am interesting to adopt this method for unlocking because with my Vygis I can unlock only 10% of 81xx now, almost every phone is v106+.
My question is this flashing method safe?
How many dead phones by flashing till now?
How many another problems after flashing?

thanks you mobicom for the link, they is no gdf file for the lgu8120. thats all i need now and I will try to flash got 1.5 and a 106 to do on monday if find the gdf file
i tryd without the gdf file and stops on 3% all times says erro so will try when find the gdf file and let you know what happends if any kinds soul post it for me

OK...
i have the right programs and the right files, i think i just need to know how to hook my u8120 up to the computer. i only have the usb cable supplied with the phone. after reading this forum extensively i'm still unclear what cable(s) i need. something about hooking the phone up to the rs232 port AND the usb AND a 9V battery???
if you reply to this please assume i'm a dumbass and really spell it out for me :)
