NEC e228 Problem

Hi,

I know that many posts are here about Unlocking NEC Phones. I have red all posts but i have still the problem!

I have modified the USB Cable like in the Pic.

Than

1. Installed the drivers on Win98se
2. Connected the Cable to the Phone without Battery
3. The Phone gone into Test Mode (at first blue the yellow)
4. Put the Battery insidethe Phone
5. Autodetect Disabled and Phone Type selected as e228
6. Pressed "Read Codes" and at the New Window COM1 selected.

Message on the Software Screen:

Initialization...
Time out...
Finished.



What am I making here wrong??? I made everything how its told on the Forum. Please tell me how i can do it? Thanks

use the software in Xp and donot choose com1 ,choose anyother com like com4 or com7 and for the drivers if you are using XP use win2000 drivers

but COM1 is the only one port which tries to red the phone

and the software is not working on xp... there is all the time failure

For the first time enable "Autodetect" and read the port connect

Its Com Port 5 but after i disable "Autoconnect" and try to read the Phone it doenst read the Phone and gives me an Error message that the ComPort5 is not available!

YOU DON'T PUT THE BATTERY INSIDE THE PHONE, EVERY TIME IS WITHOUT

otherwise it does not read the obex port!!!!

I tried


1. I pluged the USB Cable to the Phone. Phone gone into TESTMODE (Blue Screen)
1. "Autodetect" and the Soft selected Com5
2. Pressed "Read Phone"
4. Answer of Soft is "Unable to open Com Port (win error code: 2)
5. Than i disabled "Autodetect" and "Read Phone" on ComPort5 again but the same result!
6. I have selected Comport1 without "Autodetect" and the Soft is giving me this result

Initialization...
Timeout...
Finished.

What am i making wrong??? Is it maybe the Modification of the Cable wrong?? I did it like this pic above!!

Try this: uninstall the phone drivers with the uninst package included with the necfree program. Restart the PC and install the drivers again.
Try autodetect first, then set manual etc...

you use windows XP?

you know the software work only in win98?

no i use win98. the soft doesnt work on xp

Uninstalled and installed again... At the first time the Software tried to read the Phone but after than failure. And now the TestMode is Yellow!!

ok now i got this ****ing software it has selected COMPORT4...
