ive been reading up on the new d500 and the situation on changing the imei.
i know its illegal and all that rubbish,but there are sometimes genuine reasons for having to do it.
anyway, it seems that samsung are trying to combat the situation by useing a second number ( checkable by typing *#232337# ) and pairing it up with the imi number, so that if you change the imei, the second number number no longer matches and the phone is still barred/blocked.
what im thinking is that ........... a long time ago,i was faced with a simler situation with a panasonic gd87, where as you couldnt just change the imei to any old number,it had to be a imei that the phone would know, eg: another pan gd87 imei.so i got my g/friends imei, cloned it and created a log and when i uploaded it to the phone, they both worked 100%.
so......... why cant we do the same for the samsung d500, clone the two matched numbers from a working one to a barred/blocked one.
does anyone have any views on this idea ?
