NEC e616v Final Questions - URGENT

Hi there

I have looked through the forums and read up about this, but I would like someone to confirm with me before I do this.

My phone is NEC e616v SW22

I have a normal USB lead which I will modify this weekend. I plug this in without the battery and run the spunlock software. I obtainted this from eMule.

Can anyone tell me if this is SW17 "IPLSD1_IT_099_05fa1_e616_H1.ifs"

Once my phone has been flashed to SW17 then I run the free 3G NEC unlock program. I tried running the LOADER.EXE on XP but it said it couldn't find 1.exe. Dont worry I know this only works on Win98SE.

Now this is where I get confused. When the loader.exe program is running, what pops up. And do I have to have the phone plugged in with the modified cable or the normal one. Also does the phone reuire the battery at this stage.
Does this software do the NEC e616 SW22. What does the screen look like, and do I have to enter any codes on the phone manually or is it done for me.

u have just to connect ur phone with modified cable and without battery, run load.exe.
then u must uncheck autodetect, press read codes, select the right comport ( u can verify the com used by nec in windows system proprieties: u will find 2 com used by nec ex: com15 and com16, the right com for unlock is the com15 in this case. if u find com6 and com5, the right com for unlock will be com5 in that case).
then press OK and wait untill the soft says connecting, reading, calculating and finally disconnect the phone when it says "disconnect the phone", put the imei number when it asks for it and it will give u the codes.
Power on ur phone with or without sim and type the code given by nec reader (NCK and SPCK generally), no matter if it shows nothing on the screen when u type the codes.
Now ur phone should be unlocked

So after a successful flash. Run loader.exe. Do what you say. ETC ETC. When it says put IMEI number in, do I have to do this. So should I write this down before doing anything.

Then do I just enter the one code afterwards provided by this program???

no, when u discoonect ur phone write the imei of the phone located in the back side without connecting the phone again and when it gives u the codes put the battery, power on without sim card and type the NCK (#7320*xxxxxxxx#) and the SPCK (if it is also locked) (#3210*xxxxxxxx#).
N.B:when u put the right code (ex. NCK) the phone says (Network off) and the phone is unlocked

I will, gotta modify that USB cable myself. Which diagram do you recommend I got by, as I have come across 5.

modify original cabel like that, it is the best diagram but modification is hard enough because the pins are close to each other.
if u haven't yest flashed the phone i reccomend u to read the codes firstly, save them in a text file, flash ur phone with SW17 and then type this codes to unlock the phone.

Me being a dumb arse again

Can you tell me where I can get those particular codes from and when and how I input them? If you got do a step by step guide I would be so grateful. If I am wasting your time then please ignore this. But I hope you dont.

u know m8 the steps that i gave u are very easy to use but u have to try to understand well how it work because the codes are given by the software (Nec code reader) which u can download free from here. when ur cable is ready and u open the software everything will be clear, just follow the steps which i wrote here.

Now I'm trying to flash phone to V17 with IPLS1.0 by using the following instructions :
1. Extract SW07 and USB drivers
2. Install IPLS 1.0.1 from folder SW07
3. Install Daemon Tool from SW07 folder(create virtual drives on PC), mount NEC616_FA1 image file at virtual drive.
4. Install USB drivers for phone with modified USB unlock cable without battery(same procedure as for Furious code reader).
5. Run IPLSD1_IT_099_05fa1_e616_H1 from virtual drive destination. Check that IPLS detect same COM port as OBEX COM port(look in Properties in My Computer).
6. Push start and take a cup of coffee, it takes about 25 min.
But all the time I'm getting a error. the programme start loading, during ~2minutes and then I get a error. I can't go to step 2. I've modified the ILPSSetting file to get comport Start= 8 ( in my case OBEX port is 8).
What's wrong , your help please.

Why You write E616 software to E616V ???
Probably this is your problem...

Ok , you're right , my NEC is E616v , SW22.
So if I understand well , I must got E616V Firmware.
As my phone is still working , I'll look around for this firmware.

Just use GSMKEY software. IMEI will not change. SW version remains the same. Tested on many NECs.
