View Full Version : Problems entering TAT mode on D500!
I'm trying to unlock a D500 with a serial cable from Tele-way, but it doesn't work! "Fail entering TAT Mode!". I have also tried putting a battery on the cable, but it didn't help.
Whats wrong!? Where do i select what COM-port to use? Should the phone be powered on? Should phone battery be removed? :(
u must use COM1.Make shore that cable its good.
How can i know if cable is good?
And theres no way i can use the tele-way USB-cable?
(it's pretty urgent to get this phone unlocked...)
Are there anything i might do wrong? No tricks, like remove battery from phone while unlocking, pressing power button shortly, or something like that? Do i need the external battery? (it might be drained)
no.u must use serial cable.Phone must be off.Start software.press "read info" connect cable to phone & press power on.If cable its ok,sw will read phone info.

I didn't know what order to do the things. I thought i was supposed to connect cable before i clicked unlock, and leave phone unpowered (like i do using Twister-box).
But powering on phone after cable connected, and unlock button pressed worked fine!!

Sorry for this problem.I will make a manual to explain the procedures for all operations.
But are there no way i can use the USB-cable? If i get some drivers that emulates the cable as a COM-port, wouldn't that work?
The problem is that my laptop doesn't have COM-port.
it will work with USB2COM adapter.

yes,you can use usb to com.if you have a cable usb to com,i will send to you the driver and some instruction how to make it work from usb to com

It will be nice to have USB as the new lap top do not have com 1,byt AA still very good .

USB2COM does not works with D500
i have checked with all speeds
it only works on default speed tht is 115200

For D500 u need SERIAL cable.That cable u have recieved from your reseler ?U can flash D500 by USB with USB2COM adapter.But u cant unlock it by USB.for unlock/change imei u need serial cable on com1.

U can use USB2COM adapter to flash phone on 921600 baud rate

Have bought USB2COM with FTDI DRIVERS, but maximum speed is still 115200 in dropdown box(window). Is there a trick to change to higher speed?
