Hi
Alot of people are wanting d500 imei changing and unlocking software and no ones seems to be getting anywhere at all just wee tips i have laerned that its not easier than the existing samsung handsets as the bluetooth number is matched with the imei so i hope my thread helps people out there and hope it leads to the solution.

here is the software that apperently does it and people seem to be able to open it everyone except me actually i need the dll files people say i need to go to the samsung service site dunno wit to do so plz attach them here if you have them
Once you get the software working to change imei you must have the password for the software here s the keygen

and then have a valid bluetooth number so basically get a d500 that has a working imei and change yours to it and change your bluetooth id to the same to get you r bluetooth number i think the code is (*#232337#)
Hope some people get further than me with this and if they do help me get further
& Don't mention that #*7337# it only works in older hansets ok!!!!!!!!! we want software solution and imei change solution
all u need is a full set of files for winimei then u just put the exe in that folder (link u gave) in too the winimei folder

The main reason is to change the identity of a phone that has been lost or stolen :( Sometimes an IMEI can get corrupted but this is very rare. "Ringing" handsets or changing their identity, is the main reason why IMEI changing is illegal in some countries. :eek:

Hi ive trying for days now to flash a d500 with a homemade lead but when i try to get the phone into tat mode it just starts up as normal i have read all the pinout threads and made different variations of the cable but nothing. does the cable only have three wires rx tx gnd i have put the 8>11 link and the 1>14. does the 9v battery go on + to 1>14 - 8>11 . does winimei have be run on win 98 95 me xp cheers i any 1 can help
quick question, when you change the imei and put a valid bluetooth number in of a working phone, does the working phone then loose its bluetooth or will both phones be then working off the same bluetooth no and both work?

yesterday i make imei and bluetooth change in d500 using the winimei and serial cable with 9v battery attach.
worked fine but few things:
phone was working well with just change imei number
phone work, bluetooth work, no reset/hanging..
so i think "must change also bluetooth number" is a myth..
my bluetooth no longer work 100%
i made change of bluetooth number anyway, incase future problems..
now i can send and receive data between two phones no probelm. i can also send data from phone to computer but not from computer to phone. so i cannot now upload mp3 to my phone :(:(:(:(:(
winimei make big stupid changes to your phone
please be sure to backup your photos/videos/grps&mms settings/phone book memory etc etc before change imei. it all is lost after!
ok if someone tell me how to get my bluetooth to work now i am very happy..

Hi all,I have the same problem as a lot of people with changing the imei with the d500 winimei proggie.I am following the instructions as given,the proggie is doing it's bit and then it comes up with FAIL!!! Can anyone HELP US PLEASE!!!There must be someone out there that can put us out of our misery. :confused: Many people would be very greatful if this was explained once and for all.

for whatever reasons winimei seems to reset the phones 2 or 3 times during the process so whenever the blue tat mode screen goes off on the phone tap the power button and the tat mode screen will reappear so winimei can continue doing it's job. allways worked a treat for me.

Hi Ganja47,Thanks for your reply.I have now sorted it.I managed to get it back into tat twice,and then it said FAIL.The strange thing is, ---- The imei has changed and it is all working 100%.

the bluetooth id is adjusted accordingly by winimei software, have a look at the com screen and you'll see the message. done a couple of them so far and never had to adjust the bluetooth id manually.

the tat screen allways came on 3 times for me if i remember right but don't worry, the third stage is a verify of the changes only so after 2 steps everything should be done.

D500 Imei Change Instructions..
You Must Have A Valid Imei + Bluetooth Id..
To Get The Bluetooth Id Type : *#232337#
You Will Get Number That Looks Like: 0012 : 47 : 043a6a
Now With This Information Start Up D500 Winimei:
Once On The Manual Screen.
Click On "change Bluetooth No, A New Window Will Pop Up.
Enter Your Bluetooth Id : And Click Confirm
Now Click "wrt Bt Id"
Program Will Say Waiting To Enter Tat Mode: With The Cable Plugged In Hold The Power
Power Button Down. Phone Will Enter Tat Mode And Software Will Say: Bluetooth Addresse Good!
Now Click " New " Enter A Valid Imei.
Software Also Asks A For A Password. Included In The Archive Is A Keygenartor. Just Copy And Paste And Click Genearte..
Now Click Wrt Imei.
Program Will Say Waiting To Enter Tat Mode: With The Cable Plugged In Hold The Power
Power Button Down. Phone Will Enter Tat Mode And Software Will Write Few Messages.. After A Few Moments
You Will Be Prompted To Enter Tat Mode Again.. Just Briefly Hold Down The Power Button,
Full Process Takes About 2 Mins. Do Not Remove Cable While Software Is Working And Use A Fully Charged Battery!

I would just buy the proper cheap and you should have no problems with it i havent.

I have tryed this solution but can not initiate TAT mode.
Questions: -
1. Should this solution work with the Standard T100 Cable ? I have tryed to no avail.
2. I have tryed A300 Cable with +/- power lead. The cable specifies 3.5 - 5v input but you specify 9V input DC. Does the voltage matter here? Is this cable the same? Doh!

Sorry to sound thick but ive read lots about chaging the imei number, if you need to change it for whatever reason how do most people get caught?
And where do people get another imei number from?
Just make one up, or is it possible to use the number from say an old nokia lying about?

you just need to authorise the device from the handset - go to bluetooth menu and select device - options - authorise device. i had same problem till then.

no shops in uk (unless u know them well) will do it, as they usually have a sign all about phone theft and will not take the risk.

He also re-wrote the instructions to make them easier to use as he believed they were not good enough instructions..

D500 imei change instructions.
Revised idiots guide in plain English..... By Nipple.
Works with windows xp
You need special cable (available from phantom gsm.com)
Use a fully charged battery!
Do not remove cable while software is working
Full process takes approx 2 mins.
1. Dont connect phone yet!
2. Turn on phone (not connected to data cable.)
3. You need a bluetooth id.. (this can be took from the handset who’s imei you intend to change)
4. To get the bluetooth id type : *#232337# (whilst handset is on)
5. You will get numbers and letters that looks like: 0012 : 47 : 043A6A
6. Write down exactly or copy to notepad program this information (bluetooth id)
7. Turn off phone, take out sim card and replace battery and leave phone off.
8. Plug special d500 cable into serial port on pc and connect 9v battery and connect phone whilst still off.
9. Start up d500 winimei program in folder you have extracted using win-rar (downloadable from download.com)
10. In program you are asked to select country - choose uk orange (3)
11. You will go to a new screen (main screen)
12. Click on "change bluetooth no", a new window will pop up.
13. Enter your bluetooth id you wrote down in the correct format. You should normally only need to change the last few numbers and letters.
14. Click confirm
15. Now click on "wrt bt id"
16. Program will say waiting to enter tat mode:
17. With the cable plugged in hold the power button down. Phone will enter tat mode - screen of phone will go blue and say in red writing - tat mode.
18. Software will say on pc screen: bluetooth address good!
19. Now disconnect phone from cable - take out battery and replace battery and re-connect to cable
20. Now click button that says " new "
21. Enter the new imei. Normally changing just 2 digits around will suffice. Ie. Swap 5th and 6th digits around. (Normally when people read an imei they only look at last few digits if comparing battery to *#06# !)
22. Click wrt imei
23. Software will ask for a password. Included in the archive folder is a key generator. Just copy the code and paste into the key generator program and click generate..
24. Now click program will again say waiting to enter tat mode:
25. With the cable plugged in hold the power button down.
26. Phone will enter tat mode again and software will write few messages..
27. After a few moments phone will power off and you will be prompted to enter tat mode again..
28. Just briefly hold down the power button (again)
29. Message will appear saying Pass! In blue and now you can just disconnect phone and your done.
30. Avoid 5 Year Maximum Jail sentence for changing serial number in UK.

If Bluetooth ID is "linked" or "calculated from" imei. Then enter 2 sets of random numbers is not going to make them "link" or "working" with each other. Unless they are not depending on each other.
My understanding is only the phone imei are barred. Not the blue id. So what's the point to change Bluetooth id. If the Bluetooth id is calculated from new imei, then yes. I can see the point of needing a new Bluetooth id. But choose randomly as stated in previous posts. I don't understand..................
I have changed imei with and without changing Bluetooth id on a working D500 just to test the theory. Same result. All Bluetooth function works except it can't be detected by other Bluetooth phone or gadgets. The way around this is to detect other Bluetooth phone or gadgets with the phone had imei change. Once paired. There are no problems with data transfer.
Is changing Bluetooth id on a barred phone really necessary?

GUYS !!! please read on.....
I went into town, and purchased a d500 sereis cable with the 9v connectors and a pp3 / 9 V battery after reading through this forum, I downloaded d500pack.rar, read the instructions on all 6 pages of tis forum, YOU LEARN ALOT<...> Met someone with a barred d500 today, came home to test my knowledge and skills and cable ofcos :>
Managed to change bluetooth Id then changed IMEI !!! After changing imei, the phone was persistantly asking for netwrk lock.. 8 zero's did not want to work
the following also did not want to work: samsung unlock codes
D500:*2767*3855# = E2P Full Reset
*2767*2878# = E2P Custom Reset.
Finally i downlaoded a program called: Samsung D500 D500E Tools.zip
which works with the same cable and managed to unlock teh network codes !!!
WOW, I made $50 in 3 minutes. thanks to exp ppl in this forum.

I already modifly a T100 cable to D500 cable
1) unsolder wire no.5(blue)
2) unsolder wire no.3(orenge) n solder it to no.5
3) unsolder wire no.2(yellow) n solder it to pin no.6(nothing was connect before)
4) now no.2 was no connection n wire no.5(blue) also no connection
try it coz i already unlock 2 D500C
I am having so much trouble trying to connect to my d500. i bought the serial 9v cable off of ebay. i have fully charged the phone and connected the 9v battery. i have tried a couple of ways. connecting the battery after opening winimei, pressing the power button briefly, keeping hold and i just cant get it into TAT mode. could somebody please help me

Not really but make sure the charger port area is clean if it is its probably the cable especially since you got it on ebay go to a proper company mate its less hassle
