i ordered this (http://factoredhate.netfirms.com/images/untitled.bmp) card programmer. i got it the other day, but it's missing the circled IC (the pic is from the website that i ordered the programmer from). also, i didn't order a power supply for it, as it was shipped from the UK and i live in the US. the website doesn't say what "rating" (V and mA) the programmer uses, or what the one offered on the site is.

anyway, i guess the point of this is i was wondering if anyone else has this programmer and could help me out. is the circled IC needed in order to properly use the programmer? and what power supply should i use to power it?

i plan to use this (http://www.freewebs.com/simcloneinfo/Sim%20Clone%20Guide%20By%20Gsm%20Solutions%20Ltd.z ip) guide/tutorial, unless someone knows of an easier/better way (be it the method of doing it or software/hardware used). at this point, any help at all would be great. thank you in advance.

maybe you can try simdoctor usb simcard reader/writer kit for sim decoding and merging. it uses own gsm simcard. for more information, can contact with me.
