Why Cant Agere change IMEI on D500

I have just purchased my Agere and i want to change the IMEI on a D500 but i cant find no option , i was told that it does it bit it aint there? Why not?

Maybe you should look carefully ,

Open D500 Service SOftware and Connect ,set Imei , write imei , thats it !

yeh sorry that was me being too excited
I cant get it in TAT mode when i press read info, i selects the model and read info then i connect cable to phone press power on and the phone turns instead of TAT mode.
I have just received the cable today from Unlock Cellular and i have mad sure my com port is 1
