HI

does any1 have info on converting Imate Jam, Band frequencies from 850MHz to 900MHz, i got info from a source in Imate that said by simply changing the antenna from the 850MHz type to the 900MHz it will allow u to get network on 900MHz.

after stripping my imate jam which has 850MHz i noticed on the back of the antenna it was printed 850MHz.

have a look at the attachments.

If any 1 has the 900 MHz type can u plz strip the phone and hav a look if it has any difference to the pics.

I am just curious about Pocket PC and when it comes to the config for GPRS, is it part of the ROM or can u configure it yourself ??

im having a problem in my country to set up the GPRS but im not sure if perhaps the configurations or the GPRS and MMS come part of the rom, then it would explain y it doesnt work because i bought my phone from Taiwan.

the file i paste can't be run from the pc you have copy it to the phone and run it ,, any way here is a new bersion for all you can run from your computer directly just make sure the phone in connected to the PC Via ActiveSync

hi when i am trying to install soft i am getting this error message,(xda2unlock-setup-v2.2)
before i try to unlock with xda2 unlock dos based software ,when program running time phone disconected,after phone only on with usb cable conected with computer,when disconecting showing message battery low and phone will off,

FIRST I TRY WITH XDA UNLOCK TOOL V1.2
THAT PROGRAM IS A DOS TYPE PROGRAM RUNNING .......,BUT PROGRESS TIME I WAIT 1 HOUR BUT PROGRAM NOT FINISHED,SO I DISCONECTED(BUT PROGRAM IS ON RUNNING MODE)
AFTER FINISHING PHONE IS NOT ON WITHOUT USB CABLE CONECTING TO PHONE

SECONDD I UPLODED SECOND SOFT xda2unlock-setup-v2.2

Hi

can some1 please help me with setting up Pocket PC 2003 internet and MMS on my handset.

The problem im having is that how can u have internet GPRS and the MMS GPRS working. the thing is the mms is not working but the internet is fine . how can i set it up such that it will still have the internet and also be able to send MMS.

Which service provider are you using? Typically, to set up MMS, you have to create two separate GPRS network connections, one with the APN of the MMS pass-through, and one for the APN of the Internet pass-through. Sometimes you must also create a proxy connection for both GPRS connections. Your service provider should be able to provide these settings for you. note that Portugese and French ROMs can be used ONLY if you phone is portugese and french you can't convert phones from lang to another

and using any FTP manager you can connect Anonymous to ftp.clueimate.com and get some ROMs

i have an imate jam Rom 1.06.03 ESN ExtRom1.06169 ESN movil versin1.05.00 and cannot unlock using this i try to downgrade using the roms uploaded but it tells me that it is for other country error 120 or somthing like that can any body tell me how to unlock this version of imate it has spanish lang and comes from entelpcs Chile

Hi,

I m trying to Upgrade a XDA(Its problem is=If i press power button,ONLY WHITE SCREEN) but something not CLEAR.

1=ActiveSync Shows Status CONNECTED if i go to Connection settings,but if i check on normal activesync window, I see NOT CONNECTED(No partnership)
2)When I run the Update exe, it tells me WAIT READING INFOS..... then later NO COMMUNICATION
3=If i go to CONTROL PANEL, I can see the Pocket pc CONNECTED on USB.
4= I tried to tick on USE USB and Untick all mode give the same error.
5=I tried all the RESET Tricks BUT i dont know if it resetting or not coz the Device shows WHITE SCREEN ONLY and sometimes nothing .

witch i-mate you got , for JAM it is the USB<>MiniUSB cable same as moto cxxx series

others phones there is a separated COM cable com with uni-box but it is extremely slow . i'll see what i can go about usb cable pin outs

i have xda 2 dead on the screen only looks seriel v 1.02 and when i connect usb cable phone looks usb v1.02
i want to update my phone i open RUU172810WWE_CDL_SKU2 this file it looks connecting device and after few munite usb v1.02 is gone. what i do?????????????????????

I DONE THE FOLLOWING

1- Power off the phone
2- Press Record voice + power on button for star
3- Keep center (joystick) button pressed for 2 seconds
4- An Eng. menu will appear, press 8 (Erase IPSM Data), when done will say Passed
5- Press joystick 2 times to the left and select 3 (to end diagnoses)
6- When appear 3color canary boot, keep power on button pressed, phone will restart.

NOW THE PHONE OK

:confused: i tried the latest rom (WWE) update from clubimate.com, error 120: country code error. The NoID Utility works but at bootloader mode only, then stops at radio stack. If i remove the radio_.nbf from the directory where i execute the utility only then the upgrade will continue and reports a successful upgrade. Of course it's not complete i still have no radio rom installed. My device info shows no radio & protocol version, no IMEI. NEED HELP PLEASE>:confused:

C500 with Qtek ROM for 8020 and joystick is not working

Several times I managed to install new ROM for my C500. It worked well with iMate ROMs. I was still looking for better one so I installed from Qtek site ROM 2.2.32.23 but this one is for Qtek 8020 and not for 8010. There is first problem: Joystick doesn't work at all - no enter, no left or any other direction key.
Second problem is: ROM version is there forever I think. Many times I tried to reinstal to different ROM (iMate, Orange, other Qtek) but no luck. Everything looks fine during the installation, it takes about ten minutes, but after restart it's again Qtek 2.2.32.23
Please help how to get it out.

Your work here is excellent, and I thank you for your help in the past. I have recently given my friendly taxi driver in egypt my old SPV M1000 (himalaya) phone for his 13 yr old son. His son reads and speaks some english and is learning more, but he could really benefit from some arabic on the phone as well.

What rom/software is best to install on the phone to give him arabic support?

My driver is not a rich man, hence why I gave him the phone, and I will have to install the software for him, as it is beyond his sons abilities, so any help much appreciated.
