Hi all,
I unlocked a customer's Orange D500 using one of them mini clips, the handset went into TAT mode, was unlocked, accepts any sim,
But the strange thing is, works fine on all other networks in the UK, expect O2, there is full signal but doesn't allow calls out, or calls in.
Has anyone else come across this, is there a fix?

i have had the same problem i rang o2 and there said its not blocked
it must be something to do with orange
i have had a same issue with an se k700i

"Can anyone on here flash the d500 O2 have decided in my area they are only letting two versions of software to work in my area, nice of em i need the d500 addl3 or the d500 addk1 vers flashing to our phones please advise thanx steve or any one got this firm ware can get it sorted if i can get the firmware tia"
Been having similar problems with my D500. If I travel to the next town 16 miles away it works perfectly??
can anyone solve this situation??

this guy has the same problems
seems they have software bugs

It seems to me that O2 is the problem here.
How observant of you is that the only way to increase your postings by stating the obvious? Post like this justs slow down the server.

You need a flasher to downgrade the mobile, you only need to do this when going from Orange to O2.....some area's are not affected therefore there's something in coherts with the orange software on the masts signal thats stopping it. Genius!!
Corona - is the name of the flasher im using...you'll need a powered serial cable. ;)

It seems to me that O2 is the problem here.
o2 is not the problem, orange is, they actually stopped supplying D500 phones for a while because of a bug in the firmware, all new orange phones are ok to ue on any network when unlocked,
the make the phone in question work, you need to flash o2 firmware on the phone, you can do this with agere-attack, the flash file is also on the support site

u can also purchase flash cable from www.phantomgsm.com and get access to support area where u will find flash files and everything u need to re-flash d500
all works 100%
