Lost vodafone simcard

Hi guys, new to the forum, hoping someone can help me! I lost my simcard back in about 1999, it was a UK vodafone sim. I've tried to get a duplicate from vodafone, but they say it's in dormant status so i need to make a chargeable outgoing call from it. I've got the IMSI number from vodafone, is their any way i can transfer this to aother simcard and possibly get my number back, any help much appreciated

Have you tried just asking them for your pac code and moving it to another network you can always port it back to voda after a month.
