hi
i have an lg8130, got it unlocked ok,even used it for a couple of days.then suddenly the idle screen just went blank.the front screen works,i can still see the time and the network etc.,but the main internal screen went crazy...i mean when i boot the phone up i can see the startup screen so that means the the LCD screen is fine.i can input my pin and the security code,but after that....the screen just goes black.do i need to flash the phone?and where can i download the flash files? plz. can somebody please help me.

go there and register to forum(its free) and in section lg -flashing ,you will find loader and flash files.

U need to flash phone with all four firmware files, and than all will be OK. You will find the flasher and flash files somewhere in this forum, just look well! ;)

hi
thanks a bunch to all you guys who responded.the only problem remaining is with the cables.i have a serial COM1 cable and a separate USB cable which came in the box with the phone.how do i go on using them?do i have to solder wires?being a girl i must admit that i'm not really very good at these things.but if maybe if sum one can show me a detailed diagram and instructions,then maybe i can scrounge up enuff courage to try...anyway my phone is half-dead,so what have i got to lose?...:)
