hi !
when i try to take a picture with the flip opened a white screen appear
but when the flip is closed the camera works good .
if someone have an idea please help me !

A flex cable is a perspex coated board(PCB) the board where the LCD(liquid chrystal Displays ) Are fitted onto .... im sure you can get this at your local supplier!!!!!

i did a search in the forum and the only solution that i found is replacing the rubber but it's very difficult to do .so if anyone have any other solution please help me.
when i close a little bit the flip the camera works well so maybe i dont need to change the rubber !

I've got the same "white screen when activate camera" problem.
And I know that it's flat cable problem, because sometimes it works when I move flip.
The question is: Does anyone knows which line(s) is broken between camera's connector and main connector?
I solved preview error with that solution with three broken lines (you can find those two photos at forum) .
Is there something like this?

that itrack is u see that flex cable got one small capasitor C1 right hand side join to soket number 50 it can be work will....

Thanks man, but I lost my patien in the morning, changed new flat cable and
I solved the problem.Next time I'll try your suggestion because flat change is often "pain in the ***"

Could you post a diagram please?
If the screen goes white, here is my solution:
1) close flip. Hold camera button to display potrait mode
2) exit portrait mode
3) open + close flip
4) open flip again
Seems to work ok with / for me.
Also, to use the main camera function, close the file and slowly open it untill the main dislpay appears on the main screen. Its tricky, but you can take a picture like this (ie: whilst flip is half open) and have access to all the cool camera features.

good solution 80% working !!!! :P
