I am in the market for a new cell phone, and have my eye on the Blackberry devices. Very cool, and very nicely integrated. For me, it seems to be a perfect solution.
AND, since the ATT network is being changed over to Cingular, a lot of the ATT devices are being liquidated at really good prices on eBay.
The thought of an inexpensive Blackberry is quite tempting. However, the inexpensive ones are usually locked to ATT, or a European network like Orange. So, that brings us to my question.
Is there any practical way of unlocking Blackberry devices, without spending a lot of money? Perhaps there is a program like the Nokias have, to generate unlocking codes?
I would appreciate any help you could give. I have not yet purchased one of the Blackberries, since it would seem prudent to have my "next step" planned out before spending the money. I would hate to have a $20 phone that requires a $200 procedure to make it work...
Thanks for any help you can provide!
