Hi guys i am having a few problems trying to unlock a couple of nokia 3310 as it goes through the steps for unlocking but when i switch the phone on with the new sim card it is not unlocked.I tryed to update the clip but on step 3 of the updating guide the computer doesn't find the clip as it says timeout.
The batteries in the clip are fully charged and the com port on the computer is working as i use it for other things.
Forgot to say that when i click on the smart update in step 3 it says avail coms: 1,2 Waiting Fusion.........Timeout !.

The delivery of the platinum clip during the month of dec04 to jan05 have a faulty batch of 3310 cable, that is the 3310 cable with the M bus / F bus switch. The correct cable will have no switch, this is because the cable have the M Bus and F bus connected, this is require for the unlock device to preform the unlocking on DCT3.
If you have the 3310 cable with a label GS-AT653 NK1 3310,
this cable have a switch on the connector, you can return this to your reseller for a exchange to the correct cable.
For the update problem, please remove then replace one of the AA battery before try again.
There is another trick is to hold the select button , before insert the AA battery.
Now mate when i press the select button on the clip the 6 led lights stay on and the clip does nothing.

Can you try again witha new sets of AA batteries
It is still the same mate with new batteries.I am going to send it back to get updated as i think there must be a problem with the clip or the cable.

it could be your COM port is block by other software on your PC.
