IrDA problem with LG U8138 [Archive]

Hi,

I can not receive files (ringtones nor images) from other phones via IrDA all i get is the sync screen come up with the arrows moving round.

Also, how do i send files via IrDA as i can not find the option.

Sorry you can't. And it is a frequent issue...
The phone is build only for IRDA data/fax connection,
so no way, and a lot of people ask how to "unlock irda",
there is nothing to unlock, unfortunatly is the software made like that,
and I think miss some drivers, and perhaps hardware different too...

buy a nokia if you like IRDA or BLUETOOTH sharing... :p

I wouldnt swap my u8138 for any nokia, had loads of them and this is my favourite! ;)

Also, is there anyway to select ringones as message tones? Thanks!
