sim read protocol?

hi,

i would like to write an app that will allow me to read phonebook/sms and maybe other things from gsm sim card with card programmer (not phone).

yesterday, i use dejans sim_scan to "get files" as this makes what i need (plus lots more!).

i use portmon to capture data between programmer and serial port, but this locks up after creating a file of only 855Kb (sim_scan stopped responding also).

so what i need is protocol really, or just few commands to try out..
