I have an older Nokia 6800a (NSB-9 FW: v4.17 about 3 years old) from AT&T, unlocked (Currently using tmobile prepaid). Everytime I send myself a RTTL ringtone with SmartSMS, it well, reboots. It's also missing the IM client software that everyone talks about. I also have the DKU-5 Data cable for this phone.

What else would I need before I can start to think about flashing this phone to newer firmware. Would that enable the IM clients? Or fix the SMS problem? (Would I need to unlock it again?)
