Memory stick problem

Hi!
I have a NEC E616 and a 128Mb Memory stick.
When I insert the memory stick the phone says memory stick inserted.
The problem is it doesn´t seem to recognise it after that.
Can somebody please help.

theirs an option of chekcing /. format mermery card try them both

The phone will not allow me to choose these options.
It is as if there was no card inserted.

is it build to accetp only original sold by 3 shops I think?

it wolud be 2 mean from them....
it works with sandisk memorystick and sony memory stick duo(not Pro).

The phone is a 3 brand phone (unblocked for Portugual)
The memory stick is Sandisk memory stick pro duo.
