View Full Version : 2600 Still No Network
Hi
This is my 1st encounter with this phone. So as usual i flashed a dead 2600 and the phone went on. Then when i wrote PM, the pheon started blinkin. So i erased the flash area accordingly and got the phone on. Did all the UI settings one by one but with no luck to get network. I found the PCB fresh without any problem. What could be the problem? I have the right flash file, and good PM, but when i write it phone blinks.
Help me out pal...

i got the same problem... clean brand new pcb, i wrote romanian lang pac ee and then no network
i erased manually as seen on this forum, i flashed it again with 3 diff versions, ui settings, unlock ... i have spent 4 hours... still no network
please... any ideea?

Well i got my phone fixed. IN a tricky way.
The problem with 2600 is the PM area. When you write any default PM phone blinks i.e. the IMEI doesnt matches and problem starts, we must thank NOKIA, that any xyz PM doesnt make the IMEI/UEM corrupt. Anyways so heres the way...
You need to get a full PM, look in the forum you'll get it.
Then read PM from your phone. Open the pm file from phone and you'll find many fields are missing. Now open the full pm and copy the missing fileds to your phone's PM.
Write the new PM back to phone and there you go
Its will full network...

No i dont think so.
As any good pm does have imei data in it. So when you write any xyz pm to this specific phone, imei in uem and in pm area differs so the phone will start blinkin. The only way out is to have imei data from your phone itself and to add network codes to it from a good or so called original pm.

I'm a newbie for unlocking phones. I'hv 2600 from USA with IMEI starting with 0 and i can't unlock that. So no I'm planning to flash that with a different IMEI but I don't have the correct tool. I have the data cable for 1100 which I think will supoort to 2600 as well. If you guys help me with a location to find the tools and methods would be really great. Ayush i feel u hv very good ideas on this. Can u help me out...???

100% work tested by me if it is not i/c or pcb problem or use (rh18 erace file) also cant sof this problem
1, use griffin erase it (by use 7250i erase file)
2, flash back mcu+ppm
3, upload good pm (i post b4)
4, do ui setting

I downloaded PM from working 2600, write that in 2600 with no network problem, and
after that alsko have no network? Yes, i erase first, then MCU and PPM, then PM,
then full reset, always same situation ...
I have one 2600 with full Network but cannot dial or receive calls
Tried writing good pm file but still the same.
Can somone tell me how to edit pm so i can try to write full pm to phone

To ALL CONFUSED WITH IMEI ???? AFTER ERASE.....
In DCT4 the IMEI is saved in parts i.e. an IMEI checksum is in flash memory and nother one is in the UEM. So try to understand in simple way that if these two checksums dont match each other how can IMEI be all okay. There are exceptional cases like 6800a in which recently i found a way to have original imei as saved in UEM retrived by *#06# but in warranty menu, the imei differes coz of flash.
So dont get confused over the matter of ?????.
If you have rpl converters then convert your ask's and patch up the UEM though only if its not a hardware problem. Or you can always use your credits.
For this phone 2600, i've heard people talking about different ideas and theory to get the network, well personally i havnt tried any of thee yet. I dont have time so i go with time saving techniques, in mine thats what is major.
If the phone has full network, still not making calls, check for osciallation i am sure its a hardware problem and nothing to do with software. Do a network search you'll get the idea.
I hope this answers all the questions related to the post.
These days i am trying to work on java, trying to create a player with added codecs which can play mp3 or wav files. Many say its not possible to create a stand alone player still i am working on it..

after that it show network when i search it manually but go after few seconds
