View Full Version : Eeprom vs Flash
It seems that the T10S has two kinds of memory : Eeprom and Flash.
The flash contains the firmware and the eeprom the locks and settings.
Since i only want to unlock the handy i should only modify the eeprom (correct me if i am wrong) What steps must i take to
unlock the T10s (Produce a bin file containing the eeprom data, How do i do this,
Second modify the data, what and where ?
Is there a checksum in it (probably))
Please help me
Use this program to make an eeprom copy... http://www.easynet.hu/~phonesoft/erict1xmakerbartek.zip
Don't edit the eeprom and upload it, you'll only get insert correct card... Use the eeprom with an codeviewer to get the unlock codes... Then put them to the phone by <**<
Good luck!
Thanx for the program, but why don't use it to unlock ? Why only read(and dump) and then close the program Open a viewer like
ericson_show_all_locks en enter it manualy.
While the program can unlock and write the eeprom back.
What's the reason, safety ?
When i only read the eeprom, i do not make changes to the phone ?
And is it possible only to read and then disconnect ?
Looking forward for a reply,
andre

When you just upload the eeprom the new checksum for it is not correct and that will give you error... I know this... I have tested it (I feel so stupid)... So I don't want you to make the same stupid mistake, it takes 34 min to upload the eeprom so the codevier method is much faster anyway...
And by the way, you make no changes to the eeprom when you just read it...

Okay, so just the upload doesn't harm,
And what about the 'Remove SP-Lock'
button, does this work or does it work
and destruct the IMEI ?
Because, to remove the sp-lock it seems that the eeprom must be read, modified, checksum
updated and write back.
Does this function work ? without changing something in the telephone.

Oops sorry in the previous message i meant
download doesn't harm instead of upload doesn't harm.
