Hepl- samsung t100/t108- screen lock??

I just bought a samsung phone The Handset has been flashed and is now a T108 instead of standard T100.
The phone comes on then it goes off and on the screen is some symbol type writing ?japanese? which I dont undersatnd,. this appers in a white box surrounded by red.
Can anybody tell me anything about this?
i dont know anything about flashed phones so maybe that is the problem??

No Sarah this is not a problem, this is the default language for the T108.

To put in to English:

press menu, left 4 times, 1, 3, 1.
that should give you the option of another language.
Select English.
