I would be grateful for some advice as I think a V Clip I purchased on eBay could be faulty.

When I attach the battery (brand new one) both the Red and Blue LEDs come
on and stay on.

From what I've read on other web sites the Blue LED should flash once and then go off, this does not happen

Also if I attached a phone (V300, battery charged and no SIM) to the clip, press the button once the phone does not go switch off and isn't unlocked

Am I doing something silly or is the V Clip perhaps faulty ?

Chap who sold it specifically mentioned V300...

Should both LEDs be on all the time?

Of course VClip unlocks V300, also V525 and V600.
Both leds light when power is connected, then connect cable to phone and press red button shortly.
If the phone doesn't enter flash mode, try to push the connector to the phone, as sometimes there is bad connection.

Best regards

From what I found through Google other sites suggested the RED LED should come on and stay on, the Blue LED would flash once on power up, are you saying it is normal for both LEDs to stay on all the time?

Just tried a V525 and that worked - so must be a bad connection on V300
